Do you want me to repeat to you how Cotto officially scored the #1 spot?, did your limited mind forget what I already posted to you previously?. Catchweight or not, anything from 154.1 all the way to 160 is OFFICIALLY CONSIDERED MIDDLEWEIGHT. I know it's very difficult, considering you're a Golovkin fan so idiocy is there by nature, to understand. But try to.

See what I mean when I call you a simple minded bumpkin?. I seriously don't say this to irritate or mindlessly insult you, I literally mean it.

Because I don't support social media hype jobs. That said, are you seriously bragging about your likes on a site that is literally infested with trolls?.

So anything from 154.1 to 160is considered middleweight.....yes I agree.

So that being said, we both agree then what are these considered as?

Cotto v Martinez:- 159 catch weight.
    Cotto v Geale :- 157 catch weight
Cotto v Canelo:- 155 catch weight

So tell me how is that a true defence of a 160 limit title?

Question, was Floyd ever number 1 at 140?

Have to disagree with that. Styles makes fights and I think GGG at 160 steamrolls him in one sided fashion. If Cotto thought Margarito had bricks in his gloves, a full blown middleweight who punches as hard as Golovkin does and has a dominant jab to boot... I just think GGG walks through Cotto who was never a natural middleweight and had nothing to keep him off, nor does he have the size, youth and chin of Canelo. Nobody has ever clearly outboxed GGG in his whole career, I don't see a guy with the physical disadvantages of Cotto doing it.

I would agree most would rather see the Cotto-Canelo fight as it would at least be competitive. But the post I was referring to was not just in relation to Cotto choosing to fight Canelo instead, but in general relation to Cotto having no intention of ever fighting Golovkin and claimed that the poster was 'glad' that was the case. Which is why I said it is bizarre in a thread asking why GGG 'doesn't fight big names'. Frankly, with some haters it's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. GGG knocks out RANKED CONTENDERS (and not just sanctioning body stooges, Ring top ten fighters) and he's 'feasting on bums'. GGG chases big names (as per thread title) and he's 'after a payday and I'm glad he didn't get it'.

Plus I think it's a very odd attitude for someone who claims to be a boxing fan to have. I personally don't see how anyone can condone a fighter winning a 'title' in a catchweight fight, then holding the division to ransom in a series of catchweight 'defences' whilst having no intention of fighting at the division limit or taking on a legit middleweight who most think would kick his ass. I don't think anyone was crying out for Cotto-Golovkin before Cotto fought Martinez, but if you want to go round calling yourself a middleweight champ then you need to walk the walk, no? For a while I said the same about Canelo, but to give him his credit, he eventually stepped up to the plate.

Geale is neither here nor there IMO, Cotto fought a fighter who Golovkin had already KO'd and drained him to a weight he hadn't fought at in years. Golovkin on the other hand has had to contend with fighters constantly trying to load the dice in their favour against him. (He had to pay Jacobs 41% instead of the 25% mandatory split to even get him in the ring then Jacobs sacking off the second weigh in. Canelo was allowed to come to the ring last despite being the challenger. Let's not even get started on Andre Ward and his ridiculous 'fight in my country at my weight with no tune up and three American judges then give me 50% of the purse despite me being the B-side' demands).

I'm not going to get started on discussing the outcomes of the Canelo-GGG fights, that's been done to death, but nobody took a 'beating' in any of those fights, all were competitive matchups.

Yeah, that's why he was openly excused and no one gave a damn about it in the long run. That's what happens when you live off pure hype and a padded record.

Says the idiot that didn't even exist back when I was here. You must be idiotic enough to think the forum looked and functioned exactly like it does today back then too. Only Golovkin fans are this idiotic.

You answered your question yourself yet you're too mentally slow to see it. All the fights listed are officially Middleweight fights. I know it goes against what the hype train taught you to say, so burn away.

How is it a true middleweight fight if there is a catch weight within a weight?

Was said fights at the full 160 weight limit? Yes or No?

No, it's a joke to stall your career seeking handouts, waiting for paydays and fighting mediocre competition when he had the skills, talent and durability to have accomplished much more. I've seen with my own eyes this man waste his entire prime waiting to fight Martinez, Floyd Mayweather, then Miguel Cotto and finally Canelo Alvarez simply because they were the easiest route to make a lot of money. GGG was never the money man before his Canelo fight, he had K2 promotions for the majority of his prime which catered to a European market while GGG was waiting for fighters from American markets to fight him. He presented a high risk and low reward for the fighters that he wanted to fight, so instead of actually seeking challenges to raise his profile the man feasted on inferior competition until he wasted his entire prime waiting for the money fight he desperately wanted only to lose and become a stepping stone to Canelo Alvarez's career.

You're acting as if GGG wanted to fight Cotto only because he wanted to unify the division, don't be a moron. He has proven all along that he's simply in it for the money, if he wanted to be great he would of tried making concessions to fight Andre Ward or even Kovalev but he was fixated in waiting for Canelo, matter of fact he still is even now. Now he got his wish, he's made a lot of money with Canelo's name but at the cost of wasting his potential.

Yet I'm the hater with an agenda because I've wanted all along for him to step it up and actually become an ATG. LOOL... ok.
