That's a great number for an uninspiring fight. Fox did a great job promoting it.

Better than previously reported, but still not very good.

Just in perspective that figure plus the gate generates $15m. If Ortiz got the rumoured $7m he missed on the AJ fight and Wilder got the presumed $10m there’s a loss coming somewhere.

If Wilder got the $20m he supposedly got from showtime after turning down life changing money from DAZN then PBC must have lost their marbles

Where do you get $15m from? Just going by the 275k figure alone, 275k buys x $79 is $23,750,000.

The big cable companies should take their cut. Historically it has been around 50%, but who the ****s knows. However, someone is taking their cut.
    Then FOX will take theirs.

But the actual purses for the card will be easily covered with those 275k buys. Anyone’s guess if Ortiz is actually owed 7 mil and Wilder 20.

Deontay Wilder’s long-awaited return to Las Vegas marked a quicker night in the ring and a far more lucrative run at the box office. (photo by Ryan Hafey)

The unbeaten heavyweight from Tuscaloosa, Alabama racked up his 10th successful heavyweight title defense following a one-punch 7th round knockout of Luis Ortiz. Their Nov. 23 Fox Sports Pay-Per-View headliner live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada generated a live gate of $4,063,141.50, as confirmed to *******.com by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The box office total was derived from 7,403 tickets sold, with another 1,726 complimentary tickets issued to total a confirmed in 9,129 attendance. The announced fight night crowd was in excess of 10,000 according to post-fight media reports.

    That is a low gate.

    For comparison Fury v Schwarz:

While the alleged sold-out crowd of 9,012 was actually a paid gate of 5,489 fans and 1,187 comps, the event would generate a live gate of $882,145 for Fury’s debut in Sin City, per the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

    Which is super low

Fox has not released the numbers !!! I wonder why?

All these people throwing random numbers out there are dummy’s.

I’ll wait for Fox to release the numbers if they ever do lmao

    Wrong!!! They usually take half!!!

No way!!! They usually take 50 percent!!!
No wat fox is going to spend all that money promoting and giving the fight primetime commercial time to make 10 milllion where they could have most likely made more selling the sir time and commercial time elsewhere!

    https://www.*******.com/wilder-ortiz-rematch-generates-over-4-million-7403-tickets-sold--144836

Wilder vs Ortiz II 275,000 PPV. MGM Grand Garden Arena generated a live gate of $4,063,141.50. 7,403 tickets sold 1,726 complimentary tickets issued to total a confirmed in 9,129 attendance.

    So Wilder-Fury did 325,000 PPV
Fury vs Wallin at T-Mobile Arena did 3,577 tickets sold, along with 3,898 complimentary tickets issued for a total of 7,475.

It seems neither Fury nor Wilder generates like AJ does on his turf. nevertheless Wilder is no more or less popular than Fury when it comes to selling fights.

And as fars that 100 million offer...I just can't fathom how Wilder who isn't a household name, but somehow could be offered that amount of money. Especially considering Hearn if I understand, never told Wilder's team what AJ would get---if Deontay is worth $100 million to them. But there were some other stipulations in the contract as well?

Wilder Ortiz II was promoted well and I hoped it would have gotten 1/2 million, but it didn't.
