Ruiz fatter than last time. Was nervous and fidgety picking at his sleeve when he took off his track suit, Joshua looking lighter but not in a bad way.
If Joshua can use his jab and movement he can do it.
Ruiz will be too heavy to chase him down if Joshua decides to get on his bike.

    Only questions are:
has Joshua learned how to box on the back foot in 6 months?

How is Joshua's punch resistance at the lower weight, amid rumours that he keeps getting hurt in sparring.

Are the judges going to gift Joshua the win if he just stays upright for 12 rounds?

AJ looks much better with less muscle. He needs less of it...who cares how he looks. He needs stamina and movement to beat Ruiz

    1. Joshua weighs in at 16st 13lb - 10 lb lighter than last time
    2. Champion Ruiz scales 20st 2lb - 15lb heavier than before

Is it me or does AJ facially look drained, tired and like the weight of the world is on his shoulders?

He didn't look this tired before the first fight and they say the pressure effected him before, I think the pressure is getting to him.

Also that air of inevitability looks to have gone, he didn't look imposing or confident today.

Really going to be interesting tomorrow night.

I really don’t understand the protocol for letting them wear a ton of clothing ? It’s dumb.

AJ stripping off all that muscle is gonna affect him, just like how it affected Roy Jones when he stripped off muscle to get down in weight. Or remember Riddick Bowe when he stripped off muscle to get down in weight.

Stripping off muscle has never been historically favorable to any fighter.

Ruiz looks like he's confident of a KO hence the disregard for weight.

Stamina doesn't improve with losing weight/muscle
you've either got good cardio or you haven't doesn't matter what you weigh is Andy ruiz not a good example of that? Joshua can't change anything in my opinion losing all that weight will only be an advantage for ruiz in the later rounds

I'm not impressed with Ruiz' weight, I think he is 20lb heavier than he needs to be. But his hands and feet looked very quick in the public workouts, Ruiz is a natural fighter, he will get to AJ at some point, unless we see something special from AJ.

With AJ, I just think stripping off that much muscle and weight could be a problem, how is it effecting his punch resistance?

He will be hit by a man 3 Stone heavier tomorrow night, he couldn't take the shots in the first fight, he could have misjudged this.

There is so much that's happened, he got beaten up, he has changed mindset and tactics, brought in another trainer, he says he has changed so many things.

It's interesting and I suppose who you think is going to win and who you want to win will make you make a case for either.

Weight loss for Joshua will have zero effect because he hasn't the footwork. He's flat footed and moves like a bodybuilder. It won't change because of 10 pounds. Ruiz even fatter. Could be bad, could be okay. Hard to judge.
