    I have been getting into the lighter weights and Asian boxing scene. I wanted to take a deeper look at Borkhorser but I can’t find very much out there? Only part of the Harrera fight and a blip of the Montana fight.

    Seems strange that I can’t find much out about a fighter that seems as highly regarded as him. So what can you tell me about him? Is there more footage out there? Any good links or articles I can check into? Any help is appreciated

    Hi Philly; now I want to catch up on him. Decades ago I knew of him and knew he was top flight.
    I'll post any tid bits I find and please do the same.
    Sidebar: Don't you just love those 'cool' Thai fighter's names? He had one of the coolest.
    I think if you gave me a long list of Asian fighters, I could easily pick out the Thai's. :)

    I liked the names also. I used to read my father's Ring magazines when I was a kid and I always read the Asia and Africa sections in the back because the names and nicknames were so interesting.

    Does anyone know if the full Borkhorsor vs Herrera fight is out there! Got all excited to watch this only to find multiple rounds missing

    I was always intrigued with Borkorsor. When I really got into boxing heavily he was just vacating his flyweight title due to weight woes. He must have been a really big fly - I mean he must've been boiling himself down to 112 before giving it up. Some great wins there over Betulio Gonzalez, Erbito Salavarria and Fernando Cabanela. I have never found any kind of write-up on the bout with Cabanela - who was the #1 contender at the time, and would still like to see something on that bout. When he moved up to bantam he took on the former #1 contender at 118 in Julio Guerrero. Guerrero was like a 118 Bob Satterfield and Borkorsor stopped him in 6 I believe. Then of course the Herrera fight always sticks in my mind. To do that to a fighter the magnitude of Herrera always made me think that he must've been something at 112.

    appreciate the response. Unfortunately over the past year I still can’t find much on him both in videos or articles. Checked on Asian boxing and they have zero on him, I was surprised. Sent them an email to see if they can do something on him or point me towards some links or resources.

    lol, yes I do! But I have not found much...by the way I did get a speedy e mail reply...they don’t have much either, but at least they are going to try to put something together...they also gave me some video search tips....but if you have anything you can see I started this thread a year ago...so stop holding out brothe! Come share the truth
