Has Ruiz played a blinder with his weight?

Really don't know what to make of Ruiz preparations after seeing the weigh in!

Has he totally let the victory go to his head and not trained properly or has he decided to pretend he has lost weight so Joshua gets lighter only to fool us all come in heavier so he can man handle Joshua???

Or does he just know he has Joshua's number?

Obviously he is never going to look great but being another stone heavier than last time surely this can't be an advantage.

    Thoughts?

I’ve been thinking exactly the same way all day.

I definitely think Joshua coming in lighter is a good thing regardless of Ruiz.

one of the positive things you could say for Ruiz is that he looked pretty good in his open work out on that weight, when you factor in that AJ weighs three stone less, you have to wonder what will happen if Ruiz catches him.

20 stone I will be amazed if this goes more than 3 rounds I was confident of AJ by the 5th this may catch fire in the first and be over pretty quick first big punch landed wins the fight for either. Ruiz being that weight means one thing for me he is going for the ko early, he probably thinks he can't be hurt by Joshua. If Joshua is able to keep up a fast pace surely Ruiz cant do many rounds.

I think Joshua wins this time. I have thought Ruiz up until today. I hope Joshua wins which might make me a bit biased.
However I think Joshua will have better stamina. I still think he looked physically drained before the first fight. I don't know the reasons for this. I think Joshua will be quicker and fight smarter this time around.

Regarding Ruiz he has decided his best chance is bullying and going for power. I think it will go late and then Ruiz won't be as effective and ultimately stopped.

He looks as calm and confident as any champion I've seen. He looks genuinely excited about the fight tomorrow.

I think either A.) He had a weight in the sombrero or B.) He was punching like a mule at 185 in training and they decided to keep him there.

I just can't see him coming in under-prepared and accidentally 15 pounds heavier. Not with Al Haymon behind him and what's at stake. He's already said everything is in place for a Wilder fight. Team Ruiz have big plans.

Everyone is scratching their head about the weight except Ruiz, who's oozing confidence. I think he's in control and knows exactly what he's doing. He looked good in the open workout while holding a lot back. Says they've been working on angles and different things.

I see Andy Ruiz shocking the world once again tomorrow night.

I’m amazed he’s been overlooked again. He’s going to win.

Haha! Yeah, he’s fooling us all again. I just struggle to see how being that weight is beneficial...unless he was hiding weights. Was it Chisora who did that before?

He's heavy as ****. A stone either way is **** all when you're that heavy. I wouldn't read into it at all. Before the first fight we All laughed at the face off. It Is what it is. This fight won't be about physiques. It'll be who can dig in and implement their game plan

    I think it's smart

He outweighed Joshua by a bit last time and wholloped him all round the ring

This time he's added weight and convinced Joshuas team to lose it, meaning he now outweighs Joshua by a LOT

up goes Ruiz strength and power, down goes AJs strength and punch resistance

Ruiz is likely going to bully Joshua in there and once he clips and guest him

    TIMBERRRRRRRRR

Joshua COULD be faster being this light though and everything is saying he’ll be more cautious and try and outbox him. Ruiz could easily do what you say but I think Joshua would have lost the weight regardless of what Ruiz did.

He clearly puts on weight pretty quickly...he was a fair bit heavier for the AJ fight than he was vs Dimitrenko despite there not being much time in between.

    Really struggling with this fight.

I don't think Ruiz;'s weight has anything to do with AJ coming in lighter.Joshua always planned to fight a more mobile, flexible fight imo.I can't see how Ruiz adding extra poundage will help him.He may well repeat his win ,but it won't be because he is fatter.
