I said a couple months ago that I was rooting for Ruiz but expecting Joshua to avenge the loss. I’m now pretty confident (-70%) that Ruiz will repeat his previous performance, based in no small part on the fighters’ joint appearance on an interview show called “The Gloves Are Off”.

Joshua looked thoroughly cowed, and I have a high degree of confidence in my ability to read people. This *could* could be a clever ploy to promote the fight, but if so Joshua is a *very* good actor.

Anyone else got last second prediction changes, or wish to reemphasize anything said before?

Dunno what was more impressive. Ruiz showing us how hard he was supposedly training but still able to put on so much weight or Joshua able to burn off almost a stone of solid muscle since the last fight?

Oh yes, I just saw that on YouTube about an hour ago (in fact it’s what spurred me to come here). 283 is too heavy for Ruiz, but it looks to me like he did add some muscle. He has a barrel chest that sticks out almost as far as his gut...

Quite possible, but if it’s AJ by stoppage I expect it earlier than 9. Maybe five or six.

I think maybe AJ hasn’t been getting his spinach, which is probably good news for Bluto.

we will see. I think AJ will fight smart and patient (not particularly a fan of either guy) and that 283? Lbs might be hard for Ruiz to carry all night. AJ drops a fatigued Ruiz...but I could see it earlier. TBF I could see a repeat I don’t think this is an easy clear pick one way or the other

Why do people feel the need to open a new thread to let the forum no there opinion on a subject that already has dozens of threads regarding this opinion ?

Joshua has a big punchers chance but it seemed to me that as soon as Ruiz made an effort to go to Joshua's body, AJ folded the next round. He might have recovered from that temple shot more than I remembered and lost due to body work instead.

I was slightly favoring AJ to win but with this weights AJ is the big favourite here. Obviously AJ will be more cautious this time, it will hard for extra fat Ruiz to close the distance. AJ by easy UD or late TKO.

Nothing has changed. Andy is the better fighter and always has been. He will get the better of every exchange. The big question mark is Joshua. How will he hold up coming in way lighter. How will his stamina hold up if he plans to box and move for 12 rounds. Once again, the focus is on Andy’s weight. Lol, fooled you once , gonna fool ya twice.

Ruiz coming in at at such a high weight makes me doubt his fitness, even though he looked pretty solid. Hard to tell... However, I did tip Joshua before this and it seems even more likely now that he wins.

    I’m shocked at this.
Ruiz looks lighter but he’s just over a stone heavier than the last fight!
Joshua is half a stone lighter than
last time which is fair enough.
I fancied Ruiz in this at first, but I can’t see the advantage of him coming in a stone heavier, is he cashing out?
