I want to pick Norris, and if he fights similar to Brown 2 it might be possible. But most likely to me is Tito catches him at some point and stops him. Let me call it round 9
And if he fights like he did in Brown 1 then he's headed for an early bath. But yes, if he sticks to a game plan, doesn't let the red mist come down he could maybe, perhaps get the win. Trouble with Norris is he likes a shoot out and against a guy like Trinidad.. It's maybe not wise.
This fight is all about who finishes who first. Terry's chin could not take much as far as Tito's left hook. So he better get him out early.
Tito Trinidad wins this fight by TKO 10, Terrible Terry Norris has speed and could punch, bu he will be facing an opponent who can punch and has amazing recuperative power's when knocked down, as evidenced in some of Felix's fights at 147 lbs. Trinidad gained more punching power with his move to 154 lbs, as seen against Fernando Vargas, in 2000. Norris starts out quick ,may even score a knockdown, only to find that this only wakes up Tito, who cuts off the ring on Terry, and begins to tag him cleanly, enroute to the stoppage as Terry begins to fade. Terry will realize that he is not fighting a past prime Sugar Ray Leonard.
Norris. Way too fast and Felix would be chasing as long as he'd last in there. And I sure do not like the way Trinidad starts so slow for 3 or 4 rounds against the kinds of punches this guy throws.
Tito buy Ko.one of Norris's biggest problems in a boxing ring ( along with with fouling) was his recklessness when he had his opponents hurt. He would land and hurt Trinidad, possibly knock him down. But he would get over confident and reckless ( similar to his loss to Jackson) and a fighter of Trinidad's pedigree would capitalize and catch him and knock China chin Terry Norris out.
I agree with the majority picking Trinidad by KO. The problem with Norris is that he was mostly an offensive-minded fighter who got easily lured into a shoot out and was always too eager to blast the opponent out. This would backfire against a guy like Trinidad, especially with Norris' shaky chin and recklessness. Trinidad would have eventually caught up with Norris and finish him the moment he sees him hurt.
Fairly interesting shout, actually. My first instinct would be, yeah, a stoppage for Tito, but I wouldn't rule out Terry's chances. Tightrope walk for sure, but there's a path for him.
Interesting thing here is that although Tito moved up from '47 he is the bigger man. He was a huge Welterweight. Norris I believe he used to come in easily at 151-2. Terry is also a little shorter. He was quick though.
