This is the only way Joshua can beat Ruiz. The only gameplan that would work.

Credit to him for doing it, and sticking with it. Even if it's not fan-friendly.

Joshua landed much harder shots all fight long, boxing is hit and dont get hit, Joshua's performance was the perfect example of that.
Why engage with a fighter who has much quicker hands and much slower feet? There are millions at stake here.

That's how Floyd Mayweather won his fights. It may not be exciting, but it works.

And even Joshua's jabs were much harder than Floyd's pitty-pats.

To me the problem here is not the running part, it's the "longer boxer clinching all night long" part.

are people just tuning into boxing for the first time ?

You box to win a match, not please the forum wannabe's. Whose hand was raised after 12 rounds ? Not ruiz's.

Say what you like.. He did a Tyson Fury. And 'a Tyson Fury' is an acceptable thing to do. It's within the rules. He did what he had to do, and that's what winners do.

Well actually you box to win money. The way he won this match did not help his marketability.

How can you have no shame and gain 15lb's between the last fight and this one and then barely open up all fight.

No 3rd fight. Whats the point. Ruiz had his chance to get in shape and get prepared.

Joshua was the man who changed his gameplan and worked on what he needed to work on. Then completely outclassed him.

he's already made himself marketable. one fight on the back foot doesn't change that.
