They are terrified to mention Wilder lolol.

Watch them avoid his name for the forseeable. They don't want pressured into that fight.

Good performance from AJ but Ruiz didn't help himself with the shape he came in. He boxed the correct fight but you always have the feeling he is one decent punch from disaster.

I know at one point he was that excited I thought he was sat in his living room and Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Megan Fox had all burst into his house at the same in the scud.

I got that wrong big time but I was concerned when Ruiz came in heavy. But still, I didn't think AJ would go the full 12 sticking to a game plan like that. He overcame a major test there, coming back from a bad loss. Huge credit to the man.

Hrgovic did make a couple ilegal punches (seems to be regular occurance with Hrgoivc) but Molina was looking for a way out after the first punch.

Whyte took a fight at short notice and turned up a stone and half overweight and it showed tonight. Whyte was shattered by the 5th round, looked much slower and didnt carry the power he normally does. Scored it 7 rounds to 3 for Whyte in a disappointing peformance.

Hunter vs Povetkin- Good fight between two of the better fighters in the divison. I had Hunter winning 115 -113. Several of the rounds I gave to Povetkin were very close too. I feel bad for Hunter, he deserved the win. I've been saying for a while Hunter is legit and it's clear he is the most talented American HW.

AJ fought the jab move game plan pefectly. Only round AJ lost was the round AJ stood infront of him looking to jab and clinch straight after and Ruiz was catching with right.

Embarrassing from Ruiz to come in morbidly obese and then wanting a 3rd fight. You had the chance to do it again but let yourself down.

Props to AJ for getting the job done, now hopefully we see the best fighting the best in 2020.

That goes both ways, too. Joshua fans can’t criticise Fury for his performances. That was a quality boxing display from Joshua, flicking out the jab and covering the yards. Excellent stuff. You do what you have to do to win, that’s what Fury does.

Yep. AJ would’ve beaten him anyway, he’s sussed him out and a third fight would go the same way. Ruiz just wants a third payday. Too little, too late.

Frustrating fight to watch from a Ruiz perspective. The guy has the ingredients to be a top top fighter; granite chin, fast hands, good power, and can get unusual leverage on his shots up close. Unfortunately, when it's attached to an immobile 20st blob the end result is pretty beatable. Parker didn't want to trade with him, and neither did AJ tonight with the benefit of knowing what happened first time round. He let himself down, and he obviously knows it. It's upto him whether he gets into proper shape, but if he can he can still be a big factor in the next few years. If not, he's going to wind down his career plodding through jabs and losing snoozefests.

Big credit to AJ for turning it around. It wasn't exactly the stuff of legend, but you can give him a free pass for just doing what he had to do to win bearing in mind what was on the line. Also fair play to McCracken, who took a lot of stick after the first fight but executed this one beautifully from start to finish. Joshua's marketability will suffer though if that becomes his default style in the future.

Exactly mate, totally agree. See the difference in Joshua's stamina levels now he got rid of the show muscles. He is a far better fighter at this weight.

I’m a Joshua fan. That was a fairly dull fight in my opinion. I’m not going to say it was a bad performance because it wasn’t. Joshua lost two rounds tops, is now the number one heavyweight in the world, and a two time world champion. He’s back in the club of beating everyone he’s faced.

But just because I’m a fan doesn’t mean I have to pretend it was something it wasn’t. This isn’t after timing. Ruiz was a disgrace at the weight. He didn’t have the energy to have a proper go when he needed to; indeed, when there was no other game plan available. Ruiz has been horribly overrated in the build up to this. Hopefully we can all move on.

This was the way to beat Ruiz but didn't think he could pull it off. Fair play to Joshua.

There was something lacking in the event but couldn't quite put a finger on it but now I got it. Big Pricey was missing, hope he's back next time. @N17
