He’s not gonna get a third fight, and he’s definitely not the fighter that everyone hoped he was as this “Destroyer”. He had one chance to prove that his win was no fluke but instead he let the fame get to him, had too much snickers, and made himself look like a joke in the rematch.

I don’t think anyone is gonna be interested to see him fight again anytime soon. His luck just ran out.

Can't recall the last fighter the bodybuilder had to fight on the back foot for 12 rounds to get the nod. Ruiz was a little slow getting there. But i think he will always be dangerous against Joshua. I'm surprised the blob wasn't dropped at least once.

Ruiz will be in some good fights provided he doesn’t blow up to 350

He has an amazing chin. Never looked hurt or stunned at any point.

Yeah I know, the fact that Joshua had to completely change his style to beat him. Would suggest he's better than most contenders out there. Head and shoulders above Whyte and Pulev in my opinion. Joshua would be very hard to beat if he goes the Wlad Klitschsko approach in every fight, like tonight.

If he gets fights and takes them seriously, he could be right back in the mix.

Reminds me of someone like McCall or Mercer. Hits hard, takes a great shot. Also very fast hands. He'll always struggle against larger fighters who box him, but the guy can take out anyone if he can hit them.

None of the current crop of HW champs has a great chin. So Ruiz should be in the mix for as long as he wants, provided he actually trains hard.

If he could get his mind in the right place he could get back in the mix. He did beat Joshua, the same Joshua that beat a lot of other people. He forced Joshua to adapt for the better.

I don't think he will though. When that $10m hits his account I wouldn't be surprised if he disappears like Maidana did after Floyd. He'll blow through that money fast.

He blew his chance, if he had the capacity to take it seriously he has the talent to be very good.

Come on now! He’ll be hitting the SlimJims by the handful once the check clears.

    Good.

His training videos are more exciting than his fights.

You have to blame Joshua for the lack of excitement in this one.

Who is going to put up big purse bids for a guy who doesn't bother to train and prepare properly for the biggest fight of his life?

This slob showed up to the biggest fight of his life almost 300 pounds...Glad he lost, first fight was a 1 in 100 any way. He was getting really annoying too, whether he was on talk show repeating "Im the first MEXICAN heavyweight champ" over and over. Them singing the Mexican national anthem was pathetic as well, he is American and was clearly pandering, they even got Canelo to show up and pretend to be his friend. It was also annoying having to listen to all these mainstream, news articles with BS like "Cancel your gym memberships, Ruiz shows being in shape doesn't matter"...Give me a break. This fat F88k did nothing after he won but brag about buying cars and eating tacos...Get him out of here....

Let’s just hope the same people picking him have the same energy but we know it wouldn’t happen bc they don’t actually understand the sport nor weigh ins don’t reflect fighters when they wear sambreros and have to sweat up until ring walk.......see these things they don’t know bc they haven’t fought themselves,

Yep keep that same energy bc the trolls who said Ruiz would win deserve it,real talk for the most part,
