I dont think it is needed

Joshua whooped him for 11/12 rounds.. it wasnt a lucky shot or a punch from the gods

If a third does happen it HAS to be in the UK at Wembley... no other place

But I dont think there should be another

No one will pay to watch that. Ruiz did not threaten him one bit tonight.

Joshua has found a strategy that will work 10 times out of 10 against Ruiz.

I don't think anyone wants to see another AJ vs Ruiz fight right now. The best Ruiz could hope for is that, he scores a couple of good wins, beats a Parker/Whyte/Kownacki level top contender, meanwhile AJ fights either Wilder or Fury and if they all win their fights, a 3rd fight between AJ and Ruiz could make sense in mid to late 2021.

I think he will because the whole thing was rigged from the get go. Ruiz coming in heavier ( low output much slower) then talking about a 3rd fight instantly (joshua mentioning a trilogy knowing he will win the 2nd)

well, they are one apiece. the powers that be KNOW there will be money to be made in trilogy defining match. a.j. and ruiz know that as well. expect a third fight in a year.

AJ has no reason to fight him at this point. He proved that the first fight was a fluke when he embarrassed Ruiz. Nobody wants to see a third fight.
Let Ruiz pick up some decent wins first before he can even think about getting that money fight.

I don't wanna see a rematch just for the sake of having a trilogy. It wasn't a great fight and I believe this outcome was "normality resumed". Joshua knows that at ~235 he has the reach, foot speed, stamina, jab, feints and discipline to pretty much shut out Ruiz. As long as he doesn't try to make a statement KO, he wins this 9 times outta 10. Joshua needs to move onto better things, namely Usyk, Fury or Wilder. Rui needs to get back in the gym.

If Ruiz goes back to the drawing board, racks up some wins and becomes mandatory or something than that's a different story, Ruiz certainly has the talent to get back into contention. But until then I'd much rather see them go their separate ways for now.

I’d rather Ruiz fight Luis Ortiz or Wilder

The unification dream is dead imo.

Wilder vs Fury is next, so Joshua would have to defend against Usyk and no way he beats him.

So a trilogy with Ruiz might happen as his comeback fight.

Think AJ personally would dance with him again, can’t see Eddie buzzing for they. At the same time why should he give him another payday after jr confirmed himself he didn’t give a shite and come in out of shape??
