Who was wrong? Like I said, if the first one was in fact a fluke then why did Joshua have to change everything about his body and its fighting style to win the rematch? If you can't answer that, then shut your mouth.

And considering how many subtle intangibles Joshua had to deal for the rematch with I'd say he made some astounding adaptations, wouldn't you?

I gave him credit on the round by round.

It wasn't so much the weight that lost Andy the fight but the adjustments Joshua made. Ruiz was always beatable by someone who stayed on the outside and potshotted, and that's exactly what Joshua did. Ruiz might have been able to let his hands go a bit more and been a tiny bit more active, but he would have always lost to this version of Joshua. As I said in another thread, he's a fighter who needs you to come to him. His hands are blisteringly fast for a fat man but his legs are stuck in concrete, and he doesn't have the timing, the parrying or the head movement to work his way inside the way a shorter fighter should.

Good. He certainly deserved it considering how many people thought Ruiz had his number. To go from being thoroughly outboxed to thoroughly outboxing that selfsame opponent in back to back fights is pretty unheard of. In fact I'm not sure it's ever been done before.

Kovalev did earlier this year against Alvarez, not that shocking.

Of course the first fight was a fluke, anyone can see aj wasn't right and certainly wasn't ever right after the kd in the 3rd.. It just all made ruiz look better than he actually is.

Yeh, he has quick hands, but those short arms and that weight... Nahhhh, way over hyped from the first fight. Pretty easy to stay away from those t rex arms for Any half tidy fighter.

Kovalev wasn't really outboxed by Alvarez that first fight, more fought sloppy and got caught.

Note to self, don't start a thread title containing a word you have no understanding of then call someone names when they out you for having got it so so wrong! It was a fluke, it will go down as a fluke, history has been rewritten and this thread has not stood the test of time. Stand down Mr permaban. Sincerely yours, Mr nitwit!! #stayhumble

It wasn't a fluke, today's fight changed nothing and erased nothing. History is not been rewritten. I understand what a fluke is, you clearly don't. And I told you to shut up, you should have listened.

You're opening the door for anyone to easily argue that Ruiz wasn't "fully prepared and motivated" for this one.
