That would have been less impressive in many ways because it would have shown that AJ can't learn from his mistakes and that he'd fight the same fight that just lost him the belts and which plays completely into his opponent's strengths. It was not a done deal that he'd "win by brutal KO" if he tried to light Ruiz up and would have been risking another loss himself.

Hey Chico you’ve been saying for weeks the blob will knock out the body builder. Got anything to say for yourself now?

Anyone going for a stoppage v the tough chinned fast handed Ruiz would have been fool hardy, most former heavyweight champs couldn`t have stopped Ruiz.

Wilder did a cartoon video about the fight:

If Joshua uses some head movement to make wilder hesitant then I agree with the 100% but haven’t seen Joshua do this enough for me to think he can keep away from wilders rights yet. Hoping Joshua could pull it off

Has anyone thought of the possibility that Ruiz cant be knocked out, he could be Mccall like for all we know, what happens if Wilder cant get him out of there? Would Joshua get a pass then? I dont even like AJ but I think its daft to try and diminish that win, greater fighters have done exactly what he did.

So, does the forum think Joshua could beat Wilder with a similar performance to what he provided to comprehensively beat Ruiz last night? We saw Fury do it, but thats his natural game. Not so sure its Joshua's.

Joshua did it very well, but im not sure he will be quite as disciplined against DW, i think he wont be able to resist getting in there to try and bang him out.

In fairness, what did anyone expect him to say? That he was blown away, impressed, terrified to the point he will just hand over his belt?

Wilder has avoided Joshua for years.

He'll never admit it, but he and his handlers know Joshua is a better heavyweight.

Joshuas head movement to avoid left hooks against klitschko was good, would have to guess he’d try and slip the right hands against wilder

He also states that AJ looked like Wlad last night like it is an insult. Is Wilder applying he is a better fighter than Wlad?:D
