    Wach was out of shape
Whyte was badly out of shape
Povetkin was blowing by the 8th
    Hunter is a blown-up CW
Ruiz was a stone heavier and looked a disgrace
Joshua had to cut weight to improve his stamina

The HW Division is in a real mess in all areas.

Joshua is a poor example and shows that you are reaching a bit. He's very fit, Wilder is always fit, Parker takes care of himself and so does Povetkin (with chemical help). The fact that he was fatigued is a result of his being 40 years old.

But I'm with you on that disgusting fat pig Ruiz. Good riddance. Whyte also embarrassed himself, and some of the other guys (like Ortiz) tend to fluctuate too much.

I’m giving Whyte a pass last night too. He’s had a turbulent few months, been away from the gym starring on cooking shows and whatnot, and took the fight at short notice. I’m sure he’ll look a lot better going forward.

My point about AJ was that even though he has looked like a specimen, even he had to shed weight.

Whyte took fight at late notice and had the doping charge hanging over him, so i'm willing to give him some leeway re his weight, he held his hands up that he did not perform as good as he should have.

I am all for sorting the PEDs issue in boxing, but leaving an allegation hanging over a active fighter for so long is out of order, it sure is not best mental preparation prior to a bout, the alleged positive drugs offence happening way back in July.

Yeah sure. Because Dinabol was found in his test because he ate too much Jerk Chicken. Pull the other one.

I don't know. I do know Povetkin is a two-time busted peds cheat, tho. (And Fury once.)

True, but in his case I would chalk it up to strategy. It's not like he was grossly out of shape like these other bozos.

He was the heaviest he'd been in ages and looked nothing like he did in the Chisora rematch.

His back-fat was a sad sight.

Not exactly a young man’s game currently either with all of those fighters being in their 30s and even higher in Povetkin’s case.

True, doesn't mean they should turn up like slobs though.

Whyte took the fight on a few weeks notice, hes usually in solid shape.
Wach, nasal took the fight on a few weeks notice and at this point is pushing 40 and a journeyman.

    Ruiz is Ruiz.

    Andy Ruiz was terrible.

Dillian Whyte seemed to improve as the fight went on, but he looked awful for the most part, too. Most guys would drop in the ratings after a performance like that.

Michael Hunter kind of reminds me of Jimmy Ellis, the way he tries to get as much power as possible in his shots. Povetkin looked like he always does. Better than most. But not the best.

Hrgovic needs to watch the rabbit punches, but I like him.

Joshua was too light. And he seemed kind of frail. He needs to put some weight back on.

After all that yesterday, and everything that has taken place this year ... I think Wilder and Tyson Fury remain the top heavyweights.

I look forward to their rematch in February.
