Ruiz is a straight forward fighter that likes to counter but tua is actually a good counter puncher himself and has one of the best quick left hook. If ruiz does that style I just mention? No way he's beating a prime Tua. Ruiz would need to have an iron chin if he comes forward vs prime tua.
lol=your feelings are hurt for some reason Tua never put away a single fighter who was big and had a chin. Ruiz would be fine.
Ruiz never lost a fight that didn't go to the scorecards. Ruiz has been down once in his career and he beat the **** out his opponent for doing that to him, who happened to be better than anyone Tua beat and better than Tua himself.
^^^Ruiz down 1 time in his career in his prime while tua knockdown the first time when he was 38 years old. Ruiz chin ain't close to the level of tua which is a huge fact.
If Joshua fights like that vs tua the way he fought Ruiz jr in the first fight? You telling me Joshua wouldn't get ko by a prime tua? LOLOLOLOL
The only way Ruiz could beat Tua would be by outboxing him and moving and thats not his style. With the exception of the animal Ike, it's proven nearly impossible to beat David Tua by standing in the pocket, no matter how defensively responsible the opponent. You can't hunt Tua down, you can't push him backwards, you can't trade with him. Ruiz's style is catch and counter, that would be foolish vs. Tua. Tua is a bad style matchup for him.
Exactly. Thank you somebody that actually knows what's he really talking about. And lke has the chin and power. Ruiz doesn't have the 1 punch power and the chin like either of those fighters.
No, I'm picturing more of a a sloppy boxing match where Ruiz gets off first, they smother each other's power inside, the referee breaks and they repeat. There would also be some stretches with Ruiz jabbing and Tua doing nothing.
Ruiz is not going to outbox Tua. He is a short fighter that jab to get inside and trade. Which feeds right into what Tua wants.
