By about 100 miles Wilder has a slight punchers chance nothing more Easy work, bring on the rematch. Ruiz should hold his head in shame for coming in at 283 pounds then lie about being 268 the night before to try and save face. Fat idiot. Relying on a knockout is no good in boxing. Being one dimensional in boxing is no good. I dislike AJ but respect that for the first time in his career he stuck to a jab and move gameplan despite it being boring.
I think Fury has the best chance out of the lot of them to become unified champion. Fury’s win over Wladimir is tainted by avoiding the rematch. Fury’s performance against Wilder was very poor. Fury has a long way to go to prove he is the best of this generation. I give all boxers credit for what they have achieved, I’m think Fury will prove to be the best out of the current bunch, but he has a couple of years to go until he proves it though..
The crown is up for taking. Anyone can be the best Throw them in the ring and see that styles make fights
Oh, here we go... time for Fury threads now... for 2 months until Wilder puts him into Gypsy Dreamland and he wakes up in the hospital wondering what planet he's on...
Fury seems all over the place, I dont know how anyone can rely on anything he does at the moment. He has the potential but I'd be pretty surpsised when all said and done if he ends up beating AJ and Wilder. Since the Wilder fight he has been all hot air and no substance.
I actually agree but he still has to PROVE it. It isn't his fault that he was screwed against Wilder, Haye pulled out, etc. But regarldess of how it came to be, his record is still paper thin. He is talking about three more fights: they better be Wilder, Joshua, and either Whyte of Parker, and he better win them all, if cares about leaving a legacy.
How long is he living off beating the grey haired shot WK...............since then he labored with bouncers and short order cooks got a lucky draw with the refs help against Wilder and is now MIA when it comes to boxing. Fury has not won a meaningful fight since beating WK 4 years ago.
This. Fury has a great deal of potential and fluctuates between looking masterful and looking awful against a potato like Wallin. Potential means nothing without consistency. I wouldn't bet a box of used chewing gum on a Fury fight because you have no idea what version you will get.
Easily the best Had a tough fight last time out, but sometimes he fights to the level of his competition, similar to Ali He knows how to handle adversity and will never quit Wilder has a punchers chance and AJ hasn't a prayer Fury is definitely the man to beat and has the two best wins in the division (I am counting Wilder, as that was a robbery)
I have a feeling that you're right, but he needs to prove it. He's definitely special in terms of his guts in the ring, NOBODY else puts his hands behind his back after getting almost killed by the hardest puncher in history 10 seconds earlier and then proceeds to push back and wobble him. Thats some evander Holyfield, Muhammad Ali level of heart Boxing is 80% mental. If he can stay disciplined outside the ring then he can do it. He already has the skills, the heart and the talent.
He has to beat Wilder and his Haymon scorecards again on his home turf, this time without the knockdowns which gave the robbery some semblance of cover, then he has to beat Joshua in an all British undisputed unification. Accomplish those two objectives and he's secured his status and legacy beyond question.
On the face of it I agree with you. I thi k fury probably is the best. But unlike Joshua and whyte he isn't fighting anybody to prove it. Similar to wilder he's fighting mostly bums so until he steps up his game he can't be considered the best of his era.
