Under a 1910s ruleset, Langford hits the canvas multiple times for Ike to take a wide UD. Under modern times, the ref stops it. I think Langford gives him problems for the opening rounds though. (This is coming from someone who thinks Langford's h2h abilities at heavyweight are overrated)

What ever Era this fight takes place in, Sam's getting kod. Sharp and quick in the lower weights but here against this beast he gets mauled.
Round 10 and Langford, down for the third time is counted out.

I appreciate the Modern/Classic warmongering, but the trick is, to make something that can be argued. This one is too one sided, most of the old heads are on Ike's side.

Next time, try Marciano or Dempsey. Those 2 seem to go down a treat.

Who really knows? All we can do is make educated guesses. If any of us could perfectly predict fights, we'd be making a fortune in Las Vegas. Perhaps the smaller guys from previous eras are more durable than we suspect? If that's true, it would change the outcome of a lot of fights.

There was an Ibeabuchi in Langford's era, and his name was Luther McCarthy!

Looking good on paper, and looking promising, is not a reason to be favored over an ATG!

I would not go that far. McCarthy is an all time could have been, but he wasn't quite the same level of beast. Ike went toe to toe with Tua on his best night, beating him, and tracked down and took out a hard to stop Byrd when Bryd was at his peak.

Langford had skills, fast hands, unusually long arms for his height, and can hit. It's just a bad match up for him. He's facing bigger tank with thicker armor and bigger guns with a moving forward type of style.

P4P, Langford certainly is, at heavyweight I'm not so sure.
