Sasha says his fault in the Hunter fight was that he tried too much to KO Hunter instead of boxing more.

He wants rematch and also aims to get one more shot for the title.

Says he ain't feeling old or tired and still likes boxing and training

I think Povetkin still has something left in the gastank. He could probably sneak his way into another title shot if he plays it smart.

I'd like to see Povetkin retire and get out with his health. He was affected by a lot of Hunter's punches, a few times he seemed unsteady walking and once he went to the wrong corner. I have always enjoyed watching Povetkin and have always considered him one of the best inside fighters I've seen. He looked all right Saturday, but IMO he has lost a step or two from how he performed in the Takam fight and he seemed to be affected more by the punches. If he can afford to get out, I hope he does.

It's going to be hard for Povetkin or Hunter to stay relevant in the heavyweight division in the next few years. There are a lot of big, strong, heavyweights with excellent amateur experience coming up. Hrgovic, Makhmudov, Ajagba, Majidov, despite not having a lot of pro fights are probably ready for anybody now. After watching Majidov, I was thinking that he could have stepped in with Joshua or Ruiz on Saturday with a live chance to win in his second pro fight. If I controlled Hrgovic, Makhmudov, Ajagba, or Majidov I'd be looking for a title shot, I wouldn't spend time fighting and taking damage in "step up" fights that they don't need. I wouldn't bet on 40 year old Povetkin or Hunter against any of them.

Aims to =/= will. I think he has a bit left in him. Enough to have another eliminator perhaps, a big fight and then a farewell fight.

Got a lot of respect for Povetkin , proper warrior. Hopefully Eddie can get him a few more nice pay days if he wants to carry on. Good luck to him!

Fair play to him if he's just got fighting in his blood and wants to rake in some more cash - but world championship status is probably off the proverbial table for him, now. he isn't going to get any better than he was against hunter and that performance isn't quite good enough anymore.

Looking forward to seeing him serve as truth serum for rising contenders.
