Even without them this fight generated good money. With them it generated very good money. For some reason Hayers can't contemplate that. It's peculiar stuff from him but that's what we've come to expect from the man.

400k total with US and worldwide? Frank Warren's silence was more apparent to me.

He’s only been champ a couple of days and it’s all numbers talk again.

Compared to other big heavyweight fights that’s dismal business and everyone knows it.

Tyson Fury, the lineal champion, against boxing’s most lethal puncher, the people’s hero, the mental health champion, for the heavyweight championship of the world, does less buys in his own country than several Tony Bellew fights.

Sorry mate. You know; and I know it. He’s just not that popular.

Wasn’t the Wilder fight on at about 5am UK time in early December? Not really a fair comparison with Bellew in that case. He’d have obviously done better numbers had it been 10pm UK time.

That's what AJ v Ruiz in NYC did.

I question if Wilder v Fury did more? Wilder v Fury 2 yeah but the first one that number seems high.

I’m not saying he wouldn’t have done better numbers at that time, but it was still beaten by Joshua against a fat boy late sub no hoper.

If Fury was as popular as his fan club think he’d be doing better than that. Remember, Fury Wlad was a good time for UK audiences and the sales for that were pathetic.

Ha ha ha ha. You're hilarious!

I don't recall any Bellew fights generating 30 million +

What other big heavyweight fights you speak about of the last ten years generated more money than Fury/Wilder?? Apart from AJ of course, who is like nothing we've seen before in the UK.

Ultimately what you’re doing is this. You’ve got a house worth three hundred grand. You choose to sell for two hundred grand because you think two hundred grand is a lot of money. It is, but you’re also an idiot.

A fight that sells at the levels you suggest of course makes a nondescript ‘big’ amount of cash. But in context, namely two unbeaten heavyweights who you seem to think are popular, it’s really a lot worse than expected.

Save us the patronising rubbish, Tony.

I asked you a question. Name me one or more heavyweight contests not including Joshua in the last ten years that generated more money than Wilder/Fury. You can't!!

It was also their first ever US PPV.

Benson quoted it from Arum, mate. Apparently the time frame is after the Super Bowl and before the March Madness College Basketball.

So back to your house being sold. You sell it cheap. Your Mrs goes ballistic. You respond ‘name me one or more houses that have generated more money than ours not included the ones that don’t count in the last ten years. You can’t!!!’

Forgetting only three have been sold.
