I know it's fashionable to hate on DAZN, and there are lots of good reasons. The lag, the production quality, the commercials despite the monthly fee, etc. All those things are true. But the reason I truly hate DAZN has nothing to do with that. The reason I hate DAZN is because as soon as I started the app, it didn't ask me what event to start, it didn't begin the card from the beginning. Nope, as soon as I started the app on my TV, the card immediately began...from the post-fight interview of Joshua. I tried to hit pause as quickly as I could, but it was too late. I could tell from his smiling face and Hearn's smarmy grin that he had won. This is the third time a fight was spoiled because I had no control over starting the card from the beginning when the card is still considered 'live'. I hate you DAZN.
Ugh. I feel you. I hate that too. I spend a lot of time out of town for work, so try to avoid the results and stuff before I catch up - in the early days of DAZN, you had to scroll past all the post fight interviews to find the fights, and the thumbnails for the interviews made it clear who won - and just for good measure, the thumbnails for the fight usually showed the winner landing a big punch etc. That auto play thing is crazy too. Overall, I think DAZN is decent value - but they need to sort the interface out to prevent spoilers and to make it easier to access the card without having to go searching and risk finding out results.
We don't have Dazney here, but I have heard a lot of complains about the stream cutting out multiple times a fight and horrible sound quality. They should have fixed that by now. Still, much better as PPV, but worse as premium cable.
You hate DAZN? Lmfao. I pay like 11€ per month for DAZN and let alone the Joshua/Ruiz I+II and Canelo/Kovalev event this year as PPVs - the price you would have payed for those three events would exceed a yearly subscription fee. Hating DAZN is just absolutely dumb. If you don't like the system, don't buy it. But stop whining, you wimp. Learn how to use the app instead of claiming it's their fault. I watched tons of events the morning after and i NEVER had the problem. You don't have to love them, but respect them. They're offering tons of boxing for a really small amount of cash. I don't know the offer outside my country as it is different from country to country but i can watch a shitload of Combat sports including (nearly) all major PPVs and the UFC. I would even pay 20€ per month. I <3 DAZN!
I like DAZN unlike others who think its fashionable to hate on anything new and successful I am happy we have them, let me guess you like ESPN?
