It truly does mortify me that this sad specimen has managed to remain a champion for this long. Just shows how good he is at cherrypicking and how bad the division is
Try actually reading some of my NON-AJ posts, which makes up roughly 99.5% of my posts. The same simply cannot be said for all the Wilder bashers, their lives literally revolve around it.
I think the point the OP is saying is Povetkin has obviously dropped considerably from the time Wilder ran from him so he would be more likely to fight him now... Everyone think Wilder would win which is why the fight would go ahead..
Povetkin isn't shot enough yet. Wilder will only fight anyone half decent when they need either a walking stick or have just dropped 10 stone plus and not fought for 2 years.
Maybe You’re right about the timeline, but the decision was belonged to WBC. According to the link you posted, Wilder skipped the flight to Russia, waiting in UK and Sulaiman announced that the fight was off. “WBC having little choice but to call off the fight” was a comment, It wasn’t based on any interview. WBC wasn’t ok fight going through, they wanted to run an investigation whether Wilder was in Russia or in UK, which is clearly stated in Sulaiman’s statement in the link you posted.
I'm not defending Povetkin, because I think there was actually a second instance, but to be fair, when Povetkin was first busted, meldonium had just been made illegal, and the trace amounts in his system were small enough that he might have taken it when it was legal. If I remember correctly, Wilder's camp had to pay out. Messy situation.
Povetkin is a ****en bum who needed PEDs throughout his career. He was never built like that to beat fighters like Wilder. He's overrated by his fans. He has never beaten an elite fighter. The man was kod by Joshua. He is surely a bum.
Oh, I am disputing the resumes. When you peep both guys resumes, neither is better than the other. There's only one guy who is afraid to fight the other. Joshua doesn't want to fight Wilder. He never did. AJs resume is overrated.
Just to correct you, he didn't unofficially beat Wilder. I know what you're saying though Anatol. Fury could've won, but Wilder earned that draw regardless of what Joshua's fans say. He was down on the cards going into the 12th and got the knockdown. But the post itself is spot on. I just had to nitpick on your great point.
