I heard there was some sort of scandal but he was only 21 years old. Anyone know more about him? I just remember him blazing onto the scene, getting whacked by Coggi and then gone.

Do you think he had more left in the gas tank or was he just a flash in the pan?

I know he's not a heavyweight but he had a good story back in the 90's. I remember something about him wanting to become famous so that he could find his father,

    Anyways, bump...

My memory may be shot, but I think I read that after meeting his father, boxing had served its purpose. He purchased a taxicab business and retired. At one point I read in one of the magazines that he was attacked by guys from a rival cab company and he defended himself pretty effectively.

East retired because he’s personal life went South.

    For the win!

Had an epically bad day professionally. Thanks for the cheap laugh. I needed it.

He basically lost hunger for the reasons mentioned above but also found out
his management had been ripping him off . Today he would have been a star with
    his exciting star.
