What use would another 50lb of flab do for anyone? Are you honestly talking about a “flab advantage” as a serious factor? Do you think Don cokkell just needed more food?
Are you sure your friend really is 6’1”? Ruiz was more than 3 inches shorter than Joshua. He was level with Joshua’s collar bone. It only works out if AJ has a head the size of tennis ball.
But you said 20lb of flab encumbered Marcianos punch power, which implies 70lb of flab would be even more difficult?
it is very hard to match up a heavyweight of today to a guy in Rocky's time. They are not the same weight.
No I didnt I said extra weight would impact on Marcianos stamina and speed, just as it did on Ruiz. Don't attempt to quote me,you have enough problems remembering what you said yesterday!
How long is this nonsense gonna go?? Ruiz is a two handed speedy puncher with a shape-problem. He´d run frontal through Rocky in an unfair weightclass manner. Which idiots claimed he would be a middleweight? LOL This content is protected
He's an unmotivated lardass who doesn't train properly, with a single win of any note, which was reversed in the rematch, and he'll probably never have any significant win again.
I wrote this, too. Of course we assume the best of him, which is the AJ1 or Parker fight. Do you think Rocco is slicking on the backfoot for 12 rounds? This is clash between a two handed quick HW with the ability to slug it out with a 245lb SHW and a 182lb LHW-CW without any wins against modern HW physiques. Stop this crap. Ruiz would stop him.
Technically heavyweights were better when they were smaller and they had a better workrate. Ruiz is a top fighter for today and he likely could be a top fighter then too. But he really would not stand out like he has done today. He would just be another top fighter. The weight Ruiz carries would not be a significant factor because it restricts his own work rate. He’s short. He fights in spots. He dropped a lot of rounds against Joshua because he had no pace ..and that was with Joshua not really doing anything complicated. I think a good modern day cruiserweight would beat Ruiz the night Joshua did. And he might not even have to run Away from Andy to do it. If a modern day cruiserweight beats Ruiz what can Marciano do to him? Anyone remember Marco Huck vs Povetkin?
IMO, the weight has less to do with this fight than the skill level. Ruiz is skilled, Marciano crossed his feet along with other technical problems and he was slow and ponderous. To me when a guy like Marciano goes unbeaten I don't think, "that's impressive", I think " how bad must his opponents have been?" Ruiz is a real contender in an era of talented fighters, RM, on video is unimpressive.
Blind size Queen love. He loves them large!! Yes he does. Forget talent and everything else. HE LIKES HIS MEN LARGE AND IN CHARGE.
