This is only the 5th time Whyte is declared WBC mandatory. Maybe Wilder will have to actually fight him in 2020.

Will Wilder still avoid him? Whyte didn't look good against Wach.

If Wilder had any honor or courage, he'd let Whyte have his deserved WBC title shot.

Whyte is so fat out of shape now that he will get knocked out in the 1st round by Wilder.

Unless he gets into some decent shape and shows he is fully focused, he has little chance of winning.

He won't get a shot any time soon, even if he's the Manditorian.

So many people here are going to be so disappointed when Wilder and Whyte actually fight.

Whyte's not really a puncher. And he gets hit fairly easily.

After the Fury rematch, Wilder should fight Whyte this summer. That would good.

Wilder will make quick work of him, in Breazeale-like fashion.

This fight doesn't make sense for Wilder unless he loses to Fury, which at that point would be a good fight in Britain to get him the winner of Fury/AJ. Of course, there's already advanced negotiations of Wilder/Fury III (yuck), so. ...

It makes no difference. He still won’t get the shot until 2021.

Yeah, why would we want to see the two best heavyweights - Wilder and Fury - fight a series when we could watch Wilder knock out Dillian Whyte? (That's sarcasm)

When the smoke clears, the Whyte defense is going to fit in Wilder's career like the Breazeale defense fell between Fury fights. It'll be viewed as a necessary evil.

A highlight reel KO for Wilder. But just a delay in the actual fights that will matter historically.

Cant see Wilder 'stepping up' to take on Whyte. Cant see Wilder taking the Fury rematch.

Too dangerous for a man with a strap and the terrible resume he has. His team simply wont allow the WBC belt to go to a brit.

They actually made Fury the mandatory even though the fight looked like it was going to happen anyway. So Whyte has to wait until 2021 before the fight is forced.
