I like dubois, I'm really looking forward to watching his rise in the division, I believe he will go on to become a dominant force in the next 12-18 months.
I wasn’t sold on him until he starched Gorman. People will write off Gorman now but he’s a good heavyweight and Dubois made it look easy. I’m on board the Dubois train now. He just needs to avoid swinging for the trees with his opponent, he’s better than that and although it’s exciting, that’s how he could get wobbled.
For me the only blot on his record so far is failing to get Kingpin out of there and getting momentarily dragged into a sloppy scrap with Lartey. Someone like Dubois should be icing Johnson and the wild swings against Lartey would have been punished by a better operator. He's moving along well enough though and I really hope we see him in some bigger fights in 2020, although the pervert in me wants to see him batter and retire Allen!
Much the same as yourself 20. I thought Gormans skills would Of been enough to beat DDD. Gorman let himself down by underestimating Daniel as a pro, all his understandings were based about when they were both Ams on the international set up. Hopefully Nathan has learned a valuable lesson. There's still a long way to go with Daniel but he's very young and Frank will do his best with him I'm sure.
I know he’s ridiculously young for a heavyweight but FW Shouldn’t of made the Gorman fight if he was just going to regress him back to fighting no hopers.
Footage of his upcoming opponent is here... And god he's poor http://www.asianboxing.info/videos/category/kyotaro-fujimoto
Really solid fighter. Will give anyone trouble. AJ looked so gun shy against Ruiz I would bet on Dubois against him even at this stage
Without trying to dig Warren out. I actually agree with this. With someone doing his talking for him him he would have a massive hype
I disagree partly. All Frank has to do is build him the correct way and give him the opportunities that he needs. If Dubois is cracking heads in exciting style the internet will take care of building the hype.
I bet his mother still puts his name tag in his coat, the lad doesn't come across as a mastermind champion.
‘Only x years old.’ You hear a lot of this now, as though a 25 year old who’s had 20 fights is significantly different to a 29 year old who’s had the same number. I think there’s a danger with young fighters that ‘no need to rush’ just means they stagnate. As many have said in every sport, if they’re good enough, they’re old enough.
