It goes without saying that Hearn would see to it that everything would benefit Joshua's chances to win.

It works the other way around as well. When the A-side cash cow is a compact shorter sized swarmer, the promoter works to see to it the ring size is the smallest possible.

The fighter on the short end of the stick in these situations however has to have people in his camp to make certain the rules aren't being broken.
For example, Hearn could very well have instructed the ring size to go beyond the size allowed in hopes the other camp wouldn't pay notice.

 

I'm surprised team ruiz didn't make a fuss about the ring size, especially as they knew fat boy had bulked up and got lazy.
