Trinidad was the better fighter overall, but as he went up in weight, he didn't carry the firepower he had at welterweight. And it became painfully obvious for him when he went to middleweight. Trinidad was a natural welterweight, and his performances as he went up in weight clearly declined showed it. Jackson conversely was at his dynamic best at Super welterweight, and his ko's of sturdy fighters like Graham and Drayton wouldn't bode well for Trinidad who's chin was suspect. Also Trinidad was a aggressive come forward puncher with very little lateral movement and average defensively. All those weaknesses plays right into what Jackson did best.
Jackson would brutally end Trinidad's night within 6rds in my opinion.

Trinidad carried his punch to 154. At 160 they both were a bit diminished. Remember Jackson struggling to get a draw with Thomas Tate.

I feel that Felix Tito Trinidad would have to fight the best fight of his life to defeat power punching Julian Jackson. He would have to avoid being knocked down, because if that should happen, Jackson is one of the game's best finisher's. Felix gets staggered many times, during this fight, retreats and boxes Julian. Tito catches Jackson, late in the fight, scores a knockdown, enroute to a very narrow decision win.

Two fighter's with a hunger for ko's. JJ fire power though would overwhelm FT within
5 rds after being rocked in a wild fight.

    Plausible.

Tito could crack like hell too. It's a real 50/50 fight for me considering that the Hawk could also be hit and hurt. Both elite punchers (Jackson is the best puncher I've seen) and both guys were seek and destroy killers. Tito more talented and JJ more powerful.

I'm going to wimp out and say who knows?

Yes but also remember how many clean punches Trinidad landed on Vargas , Joppy ,and Reid (Now imagine Jackson at that weight landing the same type of shots) Trinidad loss some steam on his punches as he went up in weight. At welter, he was much more dangerous than he was at Jr. middle in my opinion. Plus he was getting knocked down and hurt more often.

I have to go with Jackson by KO the first left hook or right bomb he lands. Tito's chin was suspect. Jackson too aggresive for Tito. No doubt Jackson wins by KO.

Trinidad would have been able to overcome Jackson's early onslaught and rally back to a KO win within 9 rounds. Jackson, as deadly of a puncher as he was, was too one dimensional and Trinidad's own power would eventually slow Jackson down. I can see Trinidad's left hook landing at some point. Trinidad's kryptonite were against superb technicians but Jackson's style might have played into Trinidad's hands.

Trinidad was too skilled for Jackson and would win by KO. Yes, Tito was a slow starter, but he would have really been up for a Jackson fight and would not have allowed himself to get nailed early. After getting past the first two rounds, it's probably a massacre.
