Hagler was a middleweight 160 pounds. No doubt for me that prime Pacquiao is a much better fighter but they are not really in the same weight division. Hagler had his hands low very often. He did not have amazing speed. He had good power and chin. I think one must realise how much competitive the welterweight was during Mayweather reign. You had guys like Shane Mosley, DeLaHoya, Trinidad, Judah, Cotto, Pacquiao, Marquez... many of them are ATG.

Pacquiao is clearly better than all of them Fab 4 and I include SRL as well, just need to be careful about weight and size here. That's my opinion.

Hagler would win due to his size advantage and reach but it would also be because of his excellent jab and how he could use that reach, the same would go for Hearns he was better at setting up his power shots with his jab than Manny was.

Hagler had a far better jab than Manny, Hagler was a killer and fought during a better era than Manny.

Duran was better on the inside than Manny and was harder to hit.

Bradley “beat” him during his prime and he was close to prime when JMM (a juiced version) slept him.

Most of these guys would beat pac mostly due to sheer size. Pac has the highest chance of beating a 135 and 148 duran. I also give him a high chance against a 148 pre-duran leonard and more chance than duran against a post-duran leonard simply because he has no quit in him unlike duran who ***** out. Hagler and hearns are too big for him. All of these guys and pac are all skilled and the deciding factors really are their physical aspects

Hagler was 5’9 so he doesn’t really have that height advantage. Look at floyd-Canelo, floyd would probably school Canelo all the same at MW, that’s because it’s styles. I think Pac schools Canelo, that’s another MW he could have beaten. And you could say no he won’t but aside from JMM, Pac has beaten common opponents with floyd far easier (cotto, Mosley, idlh, Hatton).

So yea, Hagler who gave up 5 rounds to Duran and was outboxed handily by a very past it SRL would probably get outpointed.

Could Duran beat Pac? Sure, may khtfo but I honestly see Pac winning a decision. Pac was simply too fast and too mobile on his feet. We saw how Duran dealt with SRL when SRL chose to run, Pac won’t run but he’ll be in and out, side to side, he edges it 7-5.

That’s just nostalgia thinking Duran murders Pac, Duran has never murdered anyone near the caliber of Pac. ATGS will always be competitive with fellow atg’s as a general assumption, claiming people are on drugs cos they think so is just dumb.

I can’t see Pac beating SRL and Hearns, 0/10. SRL was 5’10, lightning, skilled, rangy and an iron chin. It’s like floyd if there was 0 danger of hurting him but he could knock you tfo. And Hearns would give Pac the Duran treatment.

And re: smw pretty sure Pac shools freaking rocky fielding.

I think the welterweight division from the past 15 years is the best in the history of the sport. Leonard, Duran and Hearns fought at that weight.

Roy Jones Junior and Bernard Hopkins fought in middleweight and were both, IMO, better than Duran, Hearns, Leonard and Hagler.

I am not a huge fan of the Fab 4. Their talent have been matched by the names I have mentioned, and surpassed in most case. They just have a size advantage over Pacquiao, nothing else.

Don’t think he was prime at Bradley fight, compare that fight back to back with his fight vs Cotto. He was 34 by the time of the Bradley fight. How many WWs do you know are prime at that age, specially ones that came up from FlyW?

    And Bradley didn’t beat him.

His prime was 2008-2010 which coincides with his age prime too.

KO a peak Duran ? Showing your youth here mate. Also, as Manny is still only a natural Light Welter I think Hagler would have rolled right over him. Enjoyable question to conjure though. I hope some of this crowd aren't too rough on you !

You don't give up do you ? Fair play. At his best, Duran was miraculous at angles and superb at slipping punches and countering - he was trained by Freddie Brown and Ray Arcel - almost impossible to hit cleanly. Heck, even Ken Buchanan struggled to land flush on him and Ken was a fabulous boxer.
Have to admire your tenacity but you're still not convincing me.
