Spence is recovering very well after his accident. A fight I've been wanting to see is Crawford vs Spence, but will it ever happen? Top Rank seems to be protecting Crawford. Arum has no problem making Fury-Wilder II, so why not Spence-Crawford? Both boxers no doubt want such a high-profile fight, but does Bob Arum?
What makes you think TopRank is protecting Crawford? Crawford keeps calling Spence out, Spence keeps making excuses. Arum reached out to Haymon several times about the fight, he was first told that the fight might happen in 2020. And then after the Porter fight, we heard Spence talk about DSG and Pac for 2020 and then a move to 154. It’s Spence who doesn’t want it, he’s the one being protected from Crawford.
How are you people not sick and tired of waiting years to see the biggest fights? Say what you will about UFC, but the one thing Dana White makes sure of is that the best guys in each division fight one another.
I've been saying this for a long ass time. Spence wants no part of Crawford. Spence started all the stupid ass "other side of the street" talk. Arum and Haymon have a working relationship. They made Gvozdyk-Stevenson and Lomachenko-Russell Jr. together. If the fighters want it, it will happen.
Maybe you should do some research next time you make a thread. Arum made official offers to DSG twice, both of which turned down. Arum also called Haymon and let him now that they want the fight, only for PBC to pretend like Crawford doesn’t exist. Spence himself flat out said that he’d rather take the easier route than face Crawford, he said he is not worried about Crawford in response to Bud calling him out, he even used the network excuse. Arum has no problem working with Haymon(as they’re having a co-promotional event next february). You’re just wrong here, trying to put the blame on Arum. It’s entirely on Spence, Haymon and PBC.
IMO best fight that can me made next year, but it needs to be made next year. Crawford has been climbing up my Favorite Fighters list and is currently at #4 right below Spence so this one would have me on the edge of my seat. Still think Spence takes this(assuming he fully recovers).
I predict this fight will never get made. Spence was in a very scary car crash, don't forget. Even if he wasn't in a car crash, it still probably wouldn't have got made. It's clear that Top Rank and Crawford want these fights but it's Haymon and PBC who are stopping it - weird to think otherwise.
Does any one know the real extent of Spences facial damage? As of now that appears to be the limiting factor.
Is he though? I'd like to see Spence on video talking for a couple of minutes. I have a nagging feeling that Spence got really messed up in that crash and would like to see him in a lesser bout of some kind before facing Crawford.
I agree, he needs a warm-up because of the accident. I'd like to see Spence-Crawford in the fall of 2010. In the meantime, Crawford could fight someone decent like Porter (who would give him a real fight), Thurman or Garcia.

Can’t quote link from the scene but you can visit the website, find the article from yesterday and see Arum saying that they’re willing to sign for the Spence fight as soon as Spence fully recovers. Like I said, lt’s Spence and PBC who don’t want the fight. It has nothing to do with Arum.
Spence probably had broken teeth and some facial lacerations. If anything, he's probably mentally traumatized.
