They're both old, they both have great gas tanks, Liborio Solis has an insane chin, he's an excellent swarmer and mauler, and is unorthodox as hell. He gave Yamanaka all he could handle, and got robbed against Jamie McDonnell. He has underrated pop as well. In my opinion, he's far more well-rounded and better an opponent that Julio Ceja. So if the grumpy munchkin decides to go out there guns-blazing and starts trading with him, he may very well be running the risk of getting that old craggy ghoulish little gremlin cranium of his cracked.

So what say you? Is The Little Machine of Maracay a potential career-ending plantain peel? Or will the old boring ass Rigo come out of moth balls and make a reappearance?

Really? After that war against Ceja, not one person cares?

Solis probably can't touch a vintage Rigondeaux making a concerted effort to not be touched.

But yeah, he'll be game as hell - and not an unthinkably prohibitive underdog - if Rigo wants to keep up the slugger act. :deal:

Rigo's performance against Lomachenko all things considered (the pre fight trash talk, quit job, hugging, running, fake injury, post fight disappearance) was the most pathetic showing in a world title fight that I have ever seen live.

It was baffling how unprofessional the performance was.

I am tired of Rigo's face. I hope he steps on that plantain peel and retires.

What about King Tug, does he have a shot? I have not seen him fight before, I have seen plenty of Gary though and dude is quality.

Final thoughts on this card, 3 dudes all named Gary Russell on the card. Family?

Yeah, they're all brothers. Evidently the dad had the same idea as George Foreman when naming his sons.

On to King Tug, he's probably all around the most skilled opponent Russell has fought since Lomachenko. He's a little better than JoJo Diaz skillwise, and I'm not saying that as a crack on JoJo. He cuts the ring off well, has very heavy hands, an impressive punch selection, punches in combination, even though he's prone to flash knockdowns, like Sergio Martinez, he's quite resilient and pops right back up, and against the biggest puncher he's ever fought, Marrero, he took his shots very well, because he was prepared for them. I think he's going to be a huge stumbling block for Russell, he actually reminds me of a prime Golovkin. Not to mention, he has an excellent vicious and very straight straight right, which is a southpaw killer, and he's with Salas. I think Tug will stop him in 9,.

Hopefully Rigo excercised his demons in the Ceja fight. I don't like the pairing of Shields and Rigo. Rigo didn't even follow Shields instructions last fight, and he didn't seem in the best of shape. He was clearly getting outworked as the fight wore on, and his defense was not there. The ref may, or may not have bailed the PBC fighter out with that bull**** stoppage.

Hope Rigo goes back to boxing more and ignores the criticism. He'd have stopped Ceja inside five or six had he boxed and dropped the left hands on him a few times a round, and he wouldn't have taken the punishment. He doesn't get the same type of power on his shots when he's not using timing to jump in to the punch. I'm interested to see how he takes a punch at 118, after his doc told him the weight cut wasn't healthy. That's the reason he wasn't in the WBSS.

I wish he had of stayed with Hector Perez. They were actively working on standing in front with defense and countering, and not a flat footed phone booth. At Bantam, guys are more his size, so if he can take the weight cut, he should have devestating power.
