When Tyson Fury was fighting for his life having been dropped in the 12th against Wilder. He came up with a hellacious counter that had Wilder badly dazzed. Wilder was legitimately ready to go in that 12th and hanging on for dear life. So Fury has the power just not ability to deliver it consistently and when there are openings to. He really needs the ability to throw his power shot when there are openings available. To go to the next level in my view. There were many other openeings earlier in the fight and he couldnt find that power shot then.
I totally agree. There is no way a 6”8-6”9, 18 stone bloke is feather fisted. His speed, timing and technique can definitely be sharpened up.

Yeah, it’s amazing the difference a tiny technical adjustment can make in sport. One session with a new tennis coach and my backhand went from average to good. I know the marginal gains will probably be lesser with a professional sportsman but Tyson isn’t know for his punching technique, he’s just got great natural attributes.
Imagine AJ in camp for Fury, that would be quality to see and I hope it happens! Good point made by somebody earlier on this thread, looks like Tyson has made the switch for more focus on his technical ability rather than the motivation which was given to him by Davison. I’m sure he just feels this time around his needs are different, let’s see how it works out.....
Same with football, mate. My daughter is only a little thing but she can’t half strike a ball with power with both feet, whereas others who are much bigger than her can’t get much on it. It’s all mechanics...much like a golf swing I guess.
I'm rooting for Wilder all the way, as I just simply don't like Fury's style and am gaining admiration for Deontay with every fight. Deontay has glaring faults, the biggest being perhaps a subpar jab (among others). But I still believe a super-trainer would turn him into the greatest heavy since Lewis. If he could have a heavy-yet-devastatingly-accurate jab on top of that right, we would have an instant ATG in Wilder. I also feel, win or lose, Fury will never be the level of an Wlad, Lewis, or Holy. Wilder will. But that's just me, all respect to fans of Fury.
Tyson is erratic and AJ should be going nowhere near him until a fight between them is ever confirmed and they share the presser. If he beats Fury up in sparring then there will be no fight. If he gets beaten up then same applies. And if nothing happens either way then there is no guarantee that Tyson commits to anything, given he has been all over the place this year.
