Kovalev regretting taking the dive

    So in the end he is not that smart, because the Kovalev victory will be remembered the same as Rocky Fielding victory. This type of stuff does nothing for his legacy.
    At this point we don't even know if Kovalev can defeat Fielding.

    I do think Kovalev regrets it. Sort of.

    I'm sure he appreciates the money he made but I'm sure he's getting a lot of gruff from his countryman and others in the boxing game.

    He hurt his legacy. He has to live with that.

    He probably cannot walk with his head up as much as he used to.

    That will wear on a guy.

    I agree. It will be a long road for him next time. I understand the money aspect. He didn't want to lose out on a huge payday. But then don't make excuses.

    I suggest Kovalev to build his form and try to be the World Champion again before taking the rematch. Now Canelo has vacated his 175 World Championshop Belt.
