Their winning resumes consist almost entirely of 3rd and 4th raters!

Breazeale has everything to do with it. He is a typical modern Superheavyweight contender who has challenged twice for the world title.

He is today considered an acceptable contender.

Shkor is a similar regarded contender in his day.

Moore scored more than enough wins that made an impact on the world heavyweight rankings for about 10 years.

None of which qualifies him as a great hitter at heavyweight.
No Schkor wasn't a rated contender, Breazeale was.
Schkor went into the Marciano fight with a record of 30-18-2 having lost 2 of his last 3 and been kod in 1 rd in his previous fight. He was not a contender. And he retired after the fight, that's how much future he had left in the division!
Breazeale went into the Joshua fight an unbeaten17 -0-0
    and 20-1-0 against Wilder.

Mathews did score better knockout results over common opponents like Marciano and Cleveland Williams.

Mathews knocked out Ted Lowrey which was something big punchers like Marciano, Archie Moore And Lee Q Murray could not achieve.

Mathews knocked out Art Henry quicker than either Cleveland Big Cat Williams could And Rocky Marciano.

yes Shkor was rated when he beat Tami Mauriello and Johnny Flynn. Tell me what wins over class heavyweights Breazeale scored? Just because he somehow was given a rating by a sanctioning body doesn't mean he was a real contender. With so many governing bodies a manager can take somebody to lunch and his unknown fighter gets a rating.

17 fights is nothing. Who had he fought? Nobody.

The two men of any note he fought knocked him out.

    so what.

Oh so smaller Mathews punches harder because he had more fights?

What physical advantages did Mathews have over Henri?

Can you please point to me these great fighters with so many scalps on their resume not named Ali and Louis lol you’re searching for fighters and have expectations that don’t exist. Literally all of Wilders opponents are BUMS. Not a good one amongst them except Fury and he lost that fight. Foreman (whom I love as much as Marciano) resume is loaded with less then stellar fighters. Liston? Tons of bums. Louis? Fought a bum of the month club. It’s not uncommon for fighters to have 2/3 bad fighters on their resumes. I think the average KO percentage of opponents for the best fighters EvER was about 40 pct. that’s all of them so anything above would be considered better then average.

Just using this quote to state Marcianos opponents KO percentage was 46 pct as compared to a HW average of 31 percent of the top 160 fighters. So no murderers row of opponents but a steady stream of decent hitters for sure.

Andy outweighs him by like 100 lbs.

    Ruiz knocks him out.
