Mike actually seemed well prepared for the rematch weighing in at his optimal weight of 218. He was doing well then got a nasty gash from one of Holyfield’s signature head butts. I mean didn’t he have the right to be pissed when he looked to the ref for help and didn’t get it?

Pissed, OK. But you seriously try to justify BITING Holyfield?

let alone literally biting off & spitting out part of his EAR?

Hahahahahahaha I love a Tyson fan boy rant hahahahahahaha.

Tyson fans like him a bit 'too much' (if you get what i'm saying)
    A tad cuckold.

Fact is Holy was more 'man' than your hero, he was bigger stronger and a better skilled more athletic man.
Tyson like Holy was roided out his head but still lost as he knew what was coming.
He wasn't "doing well" he was getting battered pushed around like a wee bully by his big brother.

    Bye :)

Holyfield had Tyson in trouble in the first round. He was just too strong for him. He took away Tyson's forward momentum. With that his confidence. Nobody rushed in with their head more than Tyson. Boxing is a rough game. I could see butting him back if that is the case.
Truthfully Tyson wanted out of the fight. He knew another beating was coming.
For example George Foreman was pushing Joe Frazier backwards in Jamaica, technically that is a foul. It helped Foreman while the referee Mercante did nothing. Frazier didn't bit Foreman's ear off because he wasnt a sick fuk!

Tyson was slow by then. His left hook had nothing. His punches didnt have that power he once had. Holyfield's head is a helmet.

You sound biased too. And you are full of anger about Tyson.
No excuse for the biting & maiming.
Also no reason to assume Tyson was using PED's. Holyfield was thin when young, Tyson bulky by his early teens before he even lifted or had any plausible access to drugs-or reason to take them.

But Holyfield dominated him-in part through clinching effectively, true.

Yes. Biting his ear was a very wise and intelligent move. Textbook game theory.

And what about all the elbows Tyson used throughout his career?

Of course the biting wasn't justified. In fact, Tyson engaged one of the butt's and hurt his own head. Holyfield was beating him. God damn.

Yes, he was justified.. Every fighter that gets butted, after bell punch or below the belt has a right to bite his Effing opponents lugs right off!!
Rip em off, chew em and spit em all over his opponent face!!!

Suppose it stopped him from getting another beating...

Biting is not okay anytime, anywhere, unless you are in a street fight. It does look like sour grapes in the ring, it also looks like desperation, and sends a clear message that you are losing. Mike was not an old man, correct me if I am wrong, but did he not win the WBA World Heavyweight Title from destroying Bruce Seldon, right after his release from prison? I am just writing an honest observation, the referee should have paid better attention to the tactics of both fighter's. Imagine biting another man's ear, and that man has all sorts of junk coming out, tons of loose wax, fans might think you have the munchies for candles, that is nasty. You know after that match, the media made fun of Iron Mike, the ear commercials. Jokes arose about a little sauce on the ears. Tyson was made sport of for a long time, jokes of fans covering their ears while attending his fights, afraid to say, they were all ears.

Should Fran's Botha had bitten Tyson when he tried to break his arms?

Should Razor Ruddock have bitten Tyson after he battered his nuts?

Should Holyfield have bitten Tyson after he deliberately hit him after the bell at the end of the very first round in fight one?

Tyson (and his pathetic fanboys) didn't mind the rough stuff when it was him administering it but when he copped it back in kind he (and his worshippers) totally go to water.

Mike was nailed either the round he bit Evander or round before and rocked and he knew the same thing was going to happen and Evander was strong so he resorted to biting. Yet Mike had a harder punch as far as punch for punch, so getting Evander mad might help Mike get into a brawl and land a punch. He was landing too much up to that point. He might have felt desperation at Evander's headbutts, but biting someone? That is cheating and low. He knew he was going to be beaten again so he wanted to even the playing field and turn it into punch for punch where he would have a better chance. I don't know if I believe he wanted to be DQed. I don't think so, but at that point he was not thinking logically. He was in a fighting rage mode.

No , but Holyfirld did fight like a caged animal which is what caused the red mist to descend over poor Mike.
