You can’t arrange a 3rd fight until the result of the 2nd is known

There are two scenarios where there would no interest in a 3rd fight.

-Wilder KO early. Wilder would argue he has ended Fury and no one wants to see him destroy Fury again.
-Fury Wide UD over 12 in a completely dominant performance. With Wilder landing nothing. Fury would argue he has won twice and we don’t need a 3rd fight.

Sounds like to me Fury wins the rematch for sure. Then I guess Wilder gets to challenge for his belt back? Makes no sense otherwise. Even still, Fury can argue he won both fights if that happens.

Fury is on his way out, he barely seems interested in this rematch. I don't see a 3rd fight happening.

He may not have a choice in the matter.

He's signed with ESPN for the next three fights. They are at war with DAZN. Fury's new found celebrity and Wilders belt are the best weapons they have against Hearn cornering the hw scene completely and shutting them out of the division that historically gets the attention of the casuals that bring the big money.

I would imagine both camps have the option to trigger a re-match if it makes financial sense. Wilder has already had re-matches that shouldn't have attracted a bus queue but has picked up around $3M each time. Hopefully we get an outcome to the second fight which removes the need or demand for a third fight otherwise that's 2020 stuffed. Poor old Whyte.

Why, if the third fight is already signed? With the first fight a draw, the result of the second has very little impact on the demand for a third; even Fury getting brutally KO'd or Wilder schooled doesn't preclude the complete opposite happening in the summer. You needed to think through your glib conspiracy theory before pressing 'post reply'...

I dont see how thete will be much demand for a third fight no matter what happens.

Well hold onto your hat, because if fights 2&3 produce wins for both, there will probably be a fourth. That said, I'd rather it stop after two - assuming it's not another draw - and move on...

    Predictable.
Whoever loses will want revenge and WBC already have Whyte locked out until Feb 2021.
