Was he right to bite Evander? , uh twice . It did get him DQ'ed and saved him from being laid out on the mat looking for his mouth piece again, I'd say yeah,it worked.

My boss denied my promotion. I think I'm going to bite his ear off.

If he head butts you in the face 5 or 6 times then I say go for it.

My wife bit my ear off and she didn't get a DQ. Unfair, I'd say.

Tyson admits in his book that he was a dirty fighter himself. He can dish it out but can't take it back. In fact in the second round he grabs Holyfield's arm and tries to break it but Holyfield manages to shake him off with his superior strength.

In his book he also admits to doing all kinds of crazy and sick things in his personal life but he still can't give credit to Douglas and Holyfield for their victories. He's a bit of a sore loser. After the biting incident he complains that Holyfield pretty much destroyed/mutilated his face with the so called headbutts but if you see his post fight interview his face looks absolutely fine apart from a cut to the eye.

Once this thread has been fully debated, I suggest we start another.

How about 'Was Monzon right to kill his wife?'

He was losing (again). Might as well quit. Again.

I have gained tons of admiration for Mike's fighting in his prime since I've been here. However, I have no respect or regard for what he did that night. He couldn't lose fairly, so he pulled what we called in prison a little ***** move. And I don't have much respect for anyone who admires things like that in the ring.

I must admit though, I changed my mind in regard to Mike's heart with the Lewis fight. Lewis was bombing the hell out of him and he kept coming...even when it was obvious he was being borderline tortured in there.

    This, and thank you.

I was in prison again back in the late 90s (for putting some smart ass punk on the city bus in the hospital). I heard some kids talking about Tyson. I sauntered over, already having their respect for what I'd done to get in there, and heard them talking about how they admired Tyson for biting Holy's ear.

I said "so, you look up to Tyson?" they said yeah. I said "that means you admire a convicted ****** and a guy who bitched out on worldwide television". Now, in the prison I was in, being a conviced ****** of anyone of ANY age made you a lowlife who was either going to be somebody's *****, knifed, piped, beat up, or placed in Protective Custody. They all went quiet, and stayed that way.

Mills Lane is generally a good ref, but he was letting Holyfield get away with all sorts of ridiculous fouls....same with Mitch Halpern, god rest his soul, in the previous bout....

Someone had to do something, and Mike eventually did

mills lane (may he rip) and mitch halpern (may he rip) let tyson get away with murder.. as the saying goes.

for example: tyson bit holyfield (can't believe i'm typing that) and lane allowed the fight to continue (can't believe i'm typing that).

Pre-prison Mike headbutts and cup checks Evander right back.

No, you don't bite someone's ear off.

Nah that is not a moral argument man. In fact it is no argument at all-it is a ight with rules.
That is like saying I want your money, I can bash you & make you disabled or **** a lady if idesired...
Or just if I am in a "fight" or fued with that person? These are not just unsupported, but Insane, premises.

Read the disapproving posts on this & the precedding page.
reckless & so many others got it right. And yes, it is hard to respect someone who defends mayhem.
You wanna say it is justified to do what was done to you back, at least you have a case.
Not mutilation. Not something that shows utter lack of control, & dooms you to lose the fight.

What do you think of the prison story on this thread?
Though that is the one crime, ****, Tyson may actually be innocent of...
