    31 opponents kod within 5

All you have to do is pick one who was a durable fighter. Shouldn't be that hard.

Marciano has the highest KO% of any lineal heavyweight champion ever!

Even if you don't think that his opposition was all that, it is a lot to explain away.

Am I a fan of KO% as an indicator of power/finishing ability?

    No.

Be that as it may, weak eras are ten a penny.

Anybody wanting to match Marciano's various statistics, could have stacked the odds in their favor, by avoiding the top challengers.

    Many did.

Still his records stand the test of time!

What we do know is his ko victims have a total of 417 stoppage losses on their sheets.
Therefore what importance should we attach to him stopping tumble bunnies? Early or late WTF difference does it make? Nearly 50 % of his opponents would be stopped by most decent bangers

You haven't grasped the essential fact here ,along with his well deserved praiseworthy wins Marciano ko'd a hell of a lot of dross.Dross that had already been stopped , and often multiple times. Dross that most any champion would have got rid off ,and early.

No you didn't you brought up layne a c level brawler who got stopped 6x and lastarza. Neither of them were early stoppages (especially lastarza which was the ****ing 11th round). I'm not moving any goal posts you simply aren't able to meet the criteria.

Im convinced you have a reading disability.

To answer your question, Tyson, joe Louis, wilder, Tommy Morrison, shavers, foreman, tua, Wladmir, Lennox, Dempsey, and even holyfield and muhammad Ali have early KO's (5 or less rounds) over prime durable opponents. This is common knowledge so i dont know why you keep asking me this question as if you wrote something clever. They all have scalps over better opponents than rex ****ing layne whom they got the job done faster.

My point was never to suggest marciano had no ko power or that he was a bad boxer or that his resume was garbage. My point, which the opponents of rocky claimed, which the numbers prove, is that he usually needed to grind his better opponents down. Still got the job done but facts are facts. His early kos were against very weak opponents who were small even by heavyweight standards who had dozens of losses.

That was the whole point of me asking you to list his 6 best wins.

Louis, Moore, Charles, Walcott, lastarza, etc all took several rounds to grind down and put away. And this is in spite of the fact most of them were very shopworn and had been stopped quicker by other fighters.

The only logical conclusion is that he had serious power but was very sloppy or he was a volume puncher who got exposed when he stepped up in competition. You cant have it both ways.

    You're a moron and a fanboy.

All fighters KO a lot of dross it’s not uncommon. His competition was average overall slightly below we don’t disagree. Idk many guys whom knocked out four hall of famers but to each their own. I’m sure there are some that could replicate his feat but the list would be short as in under ten short.

Not nearly 50% of their resume. HOF's ? Two are hall of famers at Light heavyweight, another one was a relic, the other was 38 years old.
