Why Evander Holyfield couldn't hit as hard as Mike Tyson when they had the same amount of muscle ?

Why did Chavez nearly murder Taylor? Taylor is buff and athletic looking. Chavez looks like a jockey.

Pushing a weight is not the same as striking someone. Just because a person can push a lot of weight does not mean they can strike hard.

The opposite is true as well. Just because a person can generate a lot of power in their punches does not mean that can lift a lot.

Holyfield might have been able to out lift Tyson. But punching really hard is a different skill and talent.

Because having muscles doesn’t make you a better fighter. I expect questions like this from people who think bodybuilding makes you a good fighter, not on a boxing forum.

Tyson was a far more dynamic athlete, had Vetter technique, better leverage and better at getting all of his weight into his power shots. Better footwork and balance as well.

One aspect of this that is very underrated and significantly impacts speed and power is a fighters mid-upper back muscles and how big and strong they are in relation to the muscles on your arms and chest used for pushing/punching. A lot of non-athletes strive to achieve a bent over row that is close to their bench press. That is TERRIBLE for boxing. If the pulling muscles are just as strong and tight as your pushing one's, your range of motion is ****ed and so is your speed and power. Your back muscles will leave you throwing less than slaps. I'm not saying dont work those muscles out but you should maintain a very noticeable dominance with the pushing muscles.

Muscles doesnt translate to power like that. Especially not P4P power.

Well they had different styles, different stances, and threw their punches in different manners.
