not fair that loses don’t count? I mean seriously that is the 1 thing that Pac did better than Floyd.

did you intentionally forget JMM? And Gomez vs Pac is interesting, I pick Fenech over Gomez Pac is the only other guy off of the top of my head I might pick there? If Gomez Pac is at Feather or super feather I pick Pac at SBW I see it as 50-50

+ I would pick Carlos Ortiz to beat him at LW and maybe 140

edit at FW Sal/Nelson/Saldivar would also be picks to consider

Not in my opinion. Sanchez,Gomez,Arguello, Hagler, Duran, Leonard ,Hearns,Chavez, Morales,Nelson,Benitez, Holyfield,Holmes,Mayweather Jr,Cervantes, Nelson, These are names from the last 40 yrs that could be argued are higher up the list than Pac. And I'm not including fighters from the 30's thru the 60's early 70's.

A past prime (but still good), one armed Pacquiao. It's a good, and probably underrated win but a great one? Nah.
Pac's wins over very near prime Morales and Barrera are better imo than Mayweather's over Canelo and Pac himself

Mayweather himself was past it though Pac's style aged worse than Floyd's.

Yeah I know, another thing to note is the wear and tear that Pac took before Mayweather. Margarito and Marquez 4 took a lot outta him imo. It's also quite concievable that May himself aged better than Pac, though given who's still at the top of the division 4.5 years later, I doubt that.

just out of curiosity how extensive is your list? Top 10- Top 25 Top 50+. I don’t rate active fighters but I imagine he will fall in the 20-30 range when I get around to including him? Care to share your list? Not sure I can see him cracking a top 15 even being generous.

I agree. I would rank Pacquaio higher in a historical sense. He’s also far more memorable.

    I wouldn’t have him top 20 though.

Good point but I was being vague, I do put Floyd in the top 10 though, I feel Manny was pretty exposed in that one. Hearns would be in my top 10, I feel Ray got lucky hurting Tommy after being outboxed and Tommy was simply awesome v Benitez. Loma is the most skillfull fighter I`ve evder seen. I also feel Duran would have destroyed Manny, I have Hagler ahead of him P4P too, I feel his skills were brilliant and overlooked, I don`t count the fights with Ray and Mugabi as Hagler`s prime, I feel he was better than Ray.

Leonard had a better resume beating Duran (out of sorts though), Benitez and Hearns, Manny would not have been able to achieve that during that era against that type of quality, Ray was an amazing (if flawed) athlete.
