Eh, I hold them even but pressed I'd go for King Carlos.
Imo he has a better résumé against actual MWs, just as consistent, just as dominant, similar title defence numbers (IIRC Hagler had 12 to Monzon's 13), better H2H imo.

Napoles, Griffith 2*, Briscoe, Valdes 2* & Benevuti 2* > Hearns, Duran, Hamsho 2*, Watts, Mintor, old Briscoe Vito & Mugabi imo

I don't often split them, though. Either pick isn't ridiculous by any means.

I've always thought the speedy, defensively brilliant Johnny Famechon was a stylistic nightmare for the great Alexis Arguello at Featherweight. Alexis is far greater of course but speedy movers who wouldn't engage could trouble him and Fammo was that personified plus his left hand was a beauty.

    Fammo UD 15 Arguello.

This is probably the craziest but Corrie Sanders tko's Larry Holmes. Sanders hit like hell, was a tall rangy souyhpaw, very aggressive, very fast, and Holmes never fought ONE southpaw in over 70 pro fights.

I love the Wiliams over Mayweather pick. I agree too, as long as Floyd doesn't nail that chin!

Yeah, this is pretty far fetched...

Guy barely squeaked past Quartey, and had trouble with Carr.
