Most heavyweight prospects gets dropped or even beat at one stage coming up. Ajagba is learning his trade. Kiladze was a step up for him, he'll learn from this and realise he cant just walk in and blast guys out anymore. Time to start boxing for Ajagba.
He was the best HW I ever saw outside of Mike Tyson. I truly believe that Ike was only scratching the surface of his immense potential. He was only 24 years when he burst onto the seen with that win against Tua who was smashing everything in his path. Ike reminded me of a mix of Evander and Tyson rolled into one. He wouldve dominated the division for a decade and cleaned it out.
Welcome to heavyweight boxing. Wilder and Fury were both decked by nobodies early in their careers. It's how you deal with it that matters. He clearly got sloppy going for the kill, but regrouped and finished the job. Hopefully he learns from it, but I wouldn't write him off because of it. He's still a top prospect.
I think we owe a round of applause for Kiladze and his heart, stepping up to fight some hard hitters, with Hunter, Joyce, Kownacki, Ajagba... sure he lost by KO/TKO in all of them... but still lol... he has a 'can do' attitude, which is more than I can say for TYSON FURY and DEONTAY WILDER
reminds me of Dokiwari. Going to take some very conservative matchmaking while waiting for some major improvements--if they ever happen. Until then, a tightrope act requiring lots of teaching. and best to face the face first opponents for awhile.
Obviously it’s a bit of both. No need to look for an argument where there isn’t one. So yes, credit to Kiladze for landing the shot. Is that better?
Great power and use of range and thats it, he just got caught, even the best of the best get caught...still a younger prospect so still can't say what level he's at Wouldn't throw the towel yet
Just saying... Kiladze set the shot up... Ajagba wasn't storming in after he hurt Kiladze he was taking his time. No arguments
Reminds me of Price. Big guy, huge reach, bazooka right hand, slow feet and zero head movement. In short, must see TV.
Ajagba would be a tough/dangerous fight for anybody, big, strong, hard hitter. He has little in common with Ibeabuchi in style but he looks like a bigger, stronger, and faster, young George Foreman. He might never get to destroy a top rated fighter like Foreman did to Norton and Frazier because today's top fighters are much bigger, stronger, and durable but throw a giant, athletic guy like Ajagba into the late 60s, early 70s and he would dominate. He got knocked down by a 6-4, 235 pounder with a punch he didn't see, anybody who has any experience in boxing understands.
Imagine a fight between Makhmudov and Ajagba? One of them is guaranteed to take an ambulance ride if not both of them. Obviously at this stage in their careers and development Efe would likely be the one in the hospital, but give him some time.......
I had him in the same group with Joyce and Dubois. Now Ajagba lost some reputation if you ask me, but he's going to learn from that and come back stronger I guess.
