Braddock who whipped Baer taking on Jack Johnson of the Willard fight.. 15 rounds?
I's James J good enough to beat below par Johnson?

A snooze fest for sure. I don’t see why either man can’t win.

Braddock wins a decision, many forget that Braddock gave Louis hell, apparently

It took me a few minutes to take this one in, Jimmy would out throw Jack hands down but he wouldn't land much, there wasn't anything tricky about his boxing, good jab and a nice straight right with a little pop on it, fairly made for Jacks blocking skills and he would move circles around the more stationary Johnson. Jack, he usually threw one punch at a time with subtle feints, ideal for his day but it wouldn't win a lot of rounds against boxers later on. A prime Johnson though could hit when he wanted too and he had the strength and fire inside to do it when pressed. Jack by latter round ko.

He did, he didn't do a Buster Douglas and lay down, that's for sure.

A little, should Johnson get Braddock to lead (which is entirely possible given Johnson's shitty personality), he'd spin a web that Braddock can't get unstuck. But if not, I like to think both guys keep adapting, trying to do new things and failing. Johnson's work in the clinch wins a clear decision over 15/20 rounds and a boring one at that

Yep, JJ could be like that, boring but effective. Once he got someone fighting at his own pace he was happy. He'd get a decision over Braddock that way imo to.

Johnson may be my least favourite non active fighter of all time.

Boring ass style, massive twat and an ego the size of the US.

Could Braddock have beaten Johnson in 1915 over 15 rounds?

No as Braddock would have only been 8 yrs old in 1915:rolleyes:.

Seriously though i think Braddock could have beaten the 37 yr old Johnson, of course if it was earlier in Johnsons title reign then i think Braddock would have lost.

The Willard fight offers us uncertainty of how Johnson would have coped with Braddock over 15 rounds, as Willlard entered bout with Johnson expecting and almost planning to lose early part of the 45 round bout, coming on stronger later.

Would the fight have been exciting to watch, i think answer to that would be a big no

That is the most hateful thing I've ever read or heard against Johnson! You go too far, sir.
