Wilder v Fury anounced for Feb 22nd

Fury outboxes Wilder. He will get hit, no doubt about it, but I think this time Wilder won’t manage to floor him. I will go as far as to say that Fury floors Wilder this time.

 

Genuinely hoping fury does the business.anything less than punch perfect won't be enough though as the fix will be in.

 

What did you make of John Fury's weight comments? He said Fury was weak as a kitten against Wallin at 254 pounds. Fury weighed 263 pounds against Schwarz and looked blistering both defensively and offensively. Granted it was a poor opponent but he hurt Wilder several times weighing 256 pounds.

I watched Fury v Chisora 2 highlights the other day and Fury looked vicious in there. Chisora's legs buckled at times. He weighed 264 pounds for that fight.

I think it's fair to say 260 - 264 pounds is where Fury needs to be and that seems to be the intention for Wilder rematch. It's a significant component in the fight for me.

 

Come on Fury! I do think Wilder stops him but I’ve learnt not to bet against Fury

 

I don’t really like John Fury having any input/influence on decisions on his weight. If Tyson was more fleet footed against Wallin, making him miss with no cut, coasting to an easy points win etc then I don’t think he’d have brought his weight up as an issue. I think because there was a cut and then a huge panic where he needed to get Wallin out of there quickly, and couldn’t, panicked John.

I hope every sparring session his opponent is trying to launch his head clean off. He doesn’t need to go for extra timber for increased power, he was 247 against Klitschko and managed to keep Vlad honest with the jab.

Is it possible Fury leaves Warren and goes to Hearn?

I mean AJ and Fury seems to get along very well in the last 2-3 weeks. About 1 year ago this would be impossible, but i get more and more a feeling Warren totally lost the control of Furys career, he has nothing to say anymore, only Arum does.
But even Bob seem to have trouble to control Fury.
Fury seems to be closer to AJ at the moment like he is to Arum and Warren.

I am not from the UK (Germany) so i dont know anything about "Insiders" in the UK if this could be true or not.

 

I personally wouldn't be surprised if Fury ended up with Hearn. Fury is a nomad who is very much living in the moment these days.

 

Sky will bid big for this clearly and charge £25 for the PPV if successful. Worrying times for BT/Frank if this somehow ends up on Sky- it’s hard to write off Warren but who has he got bar Dubois who he could feasibly put on PPV if Fury leaves him?

As for the fight I see Fury boxing with caution and trying to win on points- there is no way he will try and knock Wilder out early.

 

It’s all looking very suspicious and clever from Fury I think. Did he deliberately run down his BT contract fighting lesser opposition in order for this bidding war in his biggest ever fight? As others have mentioned, Warren has looked frustrated regarding Fury recently and suddenly Fury/Hearn/AJ are seemingly very pally and talks of a future fight “definitely” happening.

 

Technically Fury was never Warren’s fighter and Fury wouldn’t be Hearn’s fighter if he fought on Sky.

He’s just fighting on a platform and that’s it, Bob Arum is his promoter.

 

Yup I think Fury would have taken a lot of lessons out of their last meeting and will rectify them on Feb 22. Wilder, as much as I like the guy and rate him, has become too reliant on his power and I feel he'll find it even harder to land on a fully fit Fury this time round. Fury by a wide UD.

 

I don't want to see Fury holding his hands behind his back this time!

 

If Wilder plays this patient game and waits for the big right hand, I think Fury wins a shut out or even by late stoppage. Wilder really needs to jump on him this time, smash the body and look to have it done by midway.

 

I think wilder knocks fury out. I hope I am wrong but wilder always lands in fights. Ortiz was winning every round but everyone could see wilder was going to catch him at some point.

Fury has to be switched on for every second of the fight. I can't see that happening. Wilder in the first 6 rounds for me. Then it will be further away for AJ v Wilder.
