Jacobs Derevyanchenko Lemieux Murray Macklin Geale Ishida Stevens Rosado Monroe jr Simon Ouma That’s partial of his middleweight defences and the top 4 are very good the rest are very solid especially when you compare his results versus others who have faced them.
I think to make matters worse is as Kirk mentioned earlier, now that Golovkin is an older fighter, the same people who bashed Maravilla for choosing the more lucrative fights completely justify GGG for doing the same. They even go as far as justifying GGG for getting stripped by avoiding his mandatory obligation in the name of GGG securing his retirement money. One can be a huge fan of a fighter but still being a bigger fan of the sport (I'm a perfect example of that), but these hardcore Golovstans will criticize a fighter and immediately give Golovkin a pass for doing the same thing.
Okay but you never agreed to that. Both fighters circumstances where different and Canelo was the instigator in both. GGG v Derevyanchenko only got mentioned last minute because Canelo failed two drug tests. Canelo after agreeing to defend against Golovkin to the WBC after being allowed an initial defence against Khan only to renegade and drop the belt. Now YOU claimed GGG ducked Derevyanchenko, yet Canelo never ducked Golovkin as he offered a fight at 155, despite agreeing to a unification fight with the WBC on the pretence that he was allowed to defend against Khan. Now if YOU cannot see YOUR double standards that is on YOU not the rest of the board
So basically 2 of them were already handled by Martinez years before, Jacobs fight should have been a draw, or at the very least should have had a rematch, And the other top two Geale and Lemioux have proven nothing worthy of the hype bestowed upon. I will concede that GGG has racked up more defenses , so give him props for that if you wish, but as far as quality of opposition he has nothing more to write home about than Martinez.... And i would say Martinez was in far more spectacular fights...... And I never even liked martinez!! It's just plainly obvious to anyone who's ever watched the sport
See you are doing it again, the hatred consumes you. But remember that guy got robbed twice by your guy and deep down you know it as do the general consensus of fans and knowledgeable writers etc. Maybe marinate the 3rd fight for another 3 years to give Canelo a fair chance of winning....
I never agreed to what? ALL I'M SAYING.... If Canelo is a ducker for postponing a fight, then GGG is a ducker for declining to sign for a fight with his mandatory. You can spin it all you want, but the reality is, both fighters had an excuse to not fight their mandatories. If you say one excuse is more valid than the other, then you are being biased, and a hypocrite.
It's a poor resume imo. It has nothing to do with hate. Your love for Golovkin thinks anyone critical of GGG is hating.
You said Canelo never ducked though whilst saying Golovkin did. I think you are twisting your arguments up with themselves. Now do you think GGG ducked Derevyanchenko the first time round? And Do you think Canelo ducked GGG after dropping his belt after agreeing in principle to fighting him after Khan. Lad it’s not hard, stop FLIPPING
Not at all at no point have I ever said it is great but it is solid. I’m not the one constantly trying to undermine said fighter.
You're dumb as a sack of rocks. What I have always said is that if you're going to call one fighter a ducker for not fighting his mandatory, then you have to call the other fighter a ducker for not fighting his mandatory. That is what I have said. Let me put it another way. If you think Canelo ducked Golovkin for not fighting him when the WBC demanded the fight, then to not be a hypocrite you would have to consider Golovkina ducker for not fighting Derevyanchenko. I'll put it this way.. If you don't think Golovkin ducked Derevyanchenko because he had an excuse not to fight him, then to avoid using double standards you wouldn't be able to call Canelo a ducker for not fighting his mandatory. That is my point. Do yo need me to spell it out a different way?
Maybe poor is too harsh of a word to use with you... Let's call it less than stellar. Had he accepted the Lara, Trout, Andrade, Saunders, Ward, and Ramirez challenges, it would be fantastic.
Saunders avoided Golovkin and is on record saying such. We’ve been over the Ward fight, he wasn’t going to 175. Lara and Trout could of come up to 160 at any time. Ramirez is another Mexican hype job up at 175 now, that’s going to happen and Andrade is only just starting to make waves. You cannot help yourself can you.
