Fight settled and Davis-Gamboa opened for another 15 minutes.

Thought Jack won the fight. Guy can't catch a break.

It was 5-0 after 5 with a knockdown for Pascal. Nothing happened in the 7th until a late surge by Pascal took the round at least for me, and I had Pascal winning the 10th as well (along with Steve Farhood among others) that's 7 rounds to 5 with a knockdown each 114-112 Jean Pascal. :deal:

Didn't score it round by round but thought it was even going into the last and so Jack took it with the 12th. With a KD each and a lot of close rounds it would be hard to argue with close decision either way or a draw, but Jack looked more accurate, better IQ, and generally much classier through most of the rounds. I'd be happy to see a rematch.

Funnily enough, that is the boyhood idol of the guy in the opposite corner (Pascal was even trained and promoted by RJJ at one point, I believe)

I will say though, that it's been obvious for a long time that Jack gives away too many rounds before he gets to work.

He gets tough breaks, but he also doesn't do himself any favors with that. I have no idea why he hasn't fixed it yet. Bud and Loma can take a couple rounds to get going, but Jack takes it to debilitating levels that leave him in huge holes to claw back from.

I picked Thompson and Pascal first.:D

That being said, congratulations. But I have a really bad feeling both of us will not be going 3-0 tonight.

Obviously Kovalev stopped Pascal x 2 but put some respeck on Bivol's name for being the only fighter in the history of pugilism who schooled the teak-tough warrior with a capital W Pascal. No one does that to Pascal.
