I'm not saying he's overrated or judging his potential by this one fight, but to take 12 rounds to beat a washed up guy who was never really trying to win looks bad on him. Gamboa was on one leg too which makes it so much worse.

You hope it is a learning experience and he grows from it, but time will tell. That was awful.

A step back in terms of performance and stock. He’s been too protected.

He got the tko win but it wasn't a good performance. This was arguably his worst so i wont crucify him for it he still won but he needs to make some changes in his personal life or it won't be his last.

ok. I will say it. Davis is a bum. Well, apology to bums. Bums are bums due to whatever reasons have happened in their lives. So, Davis does not have those reasons. He is just a step or two above the wino bum fighters we saw years ago. Hyped.....

So he had problems making weight, then goes 12 rounds with a guy that lost to a fighter who is 3-4 in his last 7 fights. Haven't seen it but his stock has already dropped on my list as a potential great champ of his era.

He seems to be consistent at being inconsistent.

I know it sounds a bit stupid saying this as Broner is a multiple weight world champion but Tank really needs to make some lifestyle changes or we will end up being the next Broner (which is of course a bad thing).

And he came in overweight and out of shape. Not good for a young up and coming fighter moving up in weight. How do you miss weight when you are moving up? He eventually made it but there is no excuse for a young man to miss weight in a fight like this one. They better hide this guy from Teo because this version of tank wouldn’t see the third round.

Judging from how washed up, chinny Gamboa, was the smaller man, and it still took Davis 12 rounds of power shots to stop him, I'll say Tank needs to take his fat arse back down to 130 and refine his work ethic, and skill. He will end up getting hurt, or embarrassed at 135. If Gamboa is walking through some of your best shots, Loma, Lopez, Haney etc. won't be all that bothered by the occassional power shot from a midget.

Too many of these young guys want the Floyd money and lifestyle, but leave out the maniacal training, perfectionism, and discipline that made Floyd who he was. Too much alcohol, partying, and getting mixed up with stupid unnecessary bull****. Davis is a prime example of somebody who is headed down the wrong path.

If Davis and his team are happy with his performance in this fight, he is definitely on the path of certain decline. Barely make the weight in his first fight when moving up division itself is already stupid. And now this.

If he doesn't see the sign, refuse to introspect and still keep eating those juicy burgers and goes to strip clubs, then at this rate, no need to be Loma or Lopez, someone will catch him on guard.

This right here to add on i honestly can not stand a lot of these new fighters everybody wants to be money may but aren't willing to be pretty boy floyd... I really blame the hating ass fans and media who've manipulated the narrative that has these news guys thinking he really didn't fight anybody and all you have to do is beat bums and be unbeaten and that means something.. From 2006 til 2015 Mayweather fought a reigning world champ in every fight THAT is why he is the money man.. these new guys barely get a former champ on they record and act like they top dog its embarrassing
