The only things Clenelo aka The Poster Boy for Corruption in the Sport is better at than The Usyk God is stacking the deck, jacking himself full of PEDs, hiding out in the darkest corner of the chicken coop ducking prime fighters, lying through his rotten teeth, cherrypicking shot drunks, and winning gift decisions.
what makes it so stacked? why do YOU consider cw to be stacked? i would like to hear the thought process in blowing up that division like some do, cause i dont see it. its not a bad division, but who makes the hof? who has been proven over time? whos skills do you see and think, "that is elite level boxing... or fighting."? im not talking about popularity, im talking about what determines great fighters. i think usyk is a very good fighter, and easy to root for. because hes easy to root for, ive tried to watch him from a fans perspective, but im missing something. i dont see what you see. im not always right, but i know my boxing, so you wont be trying to explain stuff i cant understand. i just want to pinpoint where we are seeing different things.
Gassiev Dorticos Briedis Mchunu Glowacki Lerena Makabu Wlodarczyk Fayfer Gevor Kudryashov Goulamirian Tabiti Masternak That’s a solid list of very good fighters and each and every one makes a very good fight between each other and we’ve seen how Usyk, Hunter and even Briedis have done up at heavyweight when they’ve moved up. Then we have a good quality of up and comers who should be making waves in the next 12 months or so in Egorov Papin Cieslek Okolie Merhy Tishenko It’s a deep division, I don’t know why it gets so overlooked.
Garbage post from a terrible poster, if you cant see the talent in the division then you shouldnt be watching boxing at all. Maybe tell the Warden at your nursing home to turn off the television so you can start playing Bingo instead. YDKSAB
Hunter is 6-0-1 since moving up and beaten top heavyweight prospects in Bakole and Kuzmin. He also never lost a minute to Kiladze who just shown a hell of a lot of flaws in another heavyweight prospect in Ajagba. The Povetkin fight was close, I thought Hunter would have won, but Povetkin is still elite even at this age. Hunter still performed better than Povetkins most recent opponents bar AJ.
you posted a list of fighters, none of which will make any type of a name, just like in any other division. those are my questions. i dont think theres an A level fighter at cw. if you think there is, point him out and lets take a closer look. thats if you can talk differing boxing opinions without getting all emotional, like half the teen girls who post here. lets find out what im missing in usyk.
The problem they face I believe is that it’s a Europe dominated division and the HOF being a predominantly US “thing”. HOF is a subjective matter I think the fighters who have the ability to make it depending on how their careers develop would be Usyk, Gassiev, Briedis. I think most of the fighters I listed are A grade, not elite but definitely top level and have the ability top be top level at heavyweight like Hunter and Usyk if they move up. Tell me what divisions are more stacked than cruiser bar 147 which springs to mind.
i dont think either of those guys get in. not because of any nationalistic bias, theyre just not good enough. pretty much everything 130 and up, i dont follow the lower divisions as closely, so i cant make a call on those. i think cw, is like jww in terms of talent.
The difference is timing as well. Uzyk has fought all of these in most of there respected "primes" and hasnt waited for them to age. Gassiev/Briedis are both elite fighters and uzyk beat them in there prime in there home nation. Canelo will never risk that type of fight and thats what makes him far better P4P than canelo.
Again there are loads of fighters in the HOF who have no right to be in there and that’s my point. Lesser talented US/Mexican/“western” fighters have gotten in. What makes you think cruiser is so devoid of talent? I mean “everything from 130 up” is very vague at best.
