As Joe Louis was one of the best textbook boxers ever, why are there no boxers now using his method?

As Joe Louis was one of the best textbook boxers ever, why are there no contemporary boxers using his style? For me Usyk is the nearest heavyweight now to Louis`s technical ability, why aren`t more boxers taught good fundamentals like Louis in today`s heavyweight game?

Its a risky way to fight. Your in the pocket in danger of return fire. Its much easier to move around and throw a short jab with some pretty trunks on. More or less being a 7th rate Ali.

Plenty fight like (a terrible version of) Louis, also Louis was using Gans' style. And Louis wasn't the perfect textbook boxer, just the perfect textbook puncher with underrated footwork and defensive ability

And lest we forget the similarities in style between Frazier and Hearns.

Usyk and Louis are nowhere close stylistically.

Louis is textbook for a gifted power puncher with great hand speed. The weird dichotomy of all this is that most fighters don’t have that gift, and therefor how textbook can it be?

But he was magnificently efficient, measured, balanced, and mechanical.

I was talking about in terms of how well schooled both Usyk and Louis were/are.

Nobody counters as well as Louis did now aside from Usyk.

Yeah I was just saying the day that Usyk and Louis are so alike in style and looks they could be twins.

Most top boxers are taught good fundamentals.

What exactly makes Louis a better textbook boxer than someone like Anthony Joshua, who's not known for being much of a technician and seldom praised for his mechanics?
