12 rounds to get a shot beyond belief glass-jawed Cuban leprechaun out of there who was fighting with the handicap of a ruptured Achilles tendon from the 2nd round. It only took 7 rounds for 23-12 journeyman Robinson Castellanos to get a much better, less shot able-bodied with two good legs Gamboa out of there and Castellanos was coming off a KO loss and would subsequently go on to to lose his next 2 fights via stoppage after harvesting Gamboa's soul.

Twink fans are in full on damage control mode desperately trying to spin the unspinnable

Yes, it's really quite sad to witness. If I was a Davis fan I'd probably just own up that he had a poor outing. Everyone has them.

I think tank is a decent fighter and he beat a decent fighter in Gamboa. Maybe he has been over hyped so people judge him harshly when he doesn’t just blast someone out. Gamboa has been in with some really good fighters throughout his amateur and pro career so it should be no surprise that he was able to hang in there till the twelve round.
Tank is only a young guy, how many of us at that age didn’t make our job the priority we should have? He hasn’t even lost a fight yet and people are calling him the next Broner. I think it’s to soon to say if he’s going to be really really good or just average.

He needs to start acting like a world class athlete. He has the time and resources - an example of what a great work ethic can do from Floyd and and example of where stupidity will get you in Broner - so it's up to him how he wants his career to shake out.

This kid even getting paid....always makes me think their giving him a new pair of trainers and some nice clothes to keep him happy till the next fight.

Defo gonna be exploited in his career.

Appealing to authority, huh? You don't even believe it yourself, so you point to the records. Park Si-Hun has a win over Roy Jones Jr according to the records... so I guess that means he definitely won.

A few weeks ago, Andy Ruiz demonstrated the same problems that Davis is currently facing on a larger scale.

By choice, he decided that partying is more important than boxing. Davis also decided that partying was more important than boxing. How the hell do you come in overweight at weigh-in on a division you're moving up to? Physical gifts doesn't mean that much if you're not dedicated.

Robeisy Ramírez lost his first pro fight because he thought talent was enough. Ruiz couldn't do **** against AJ after gaining an extra 15 lbs. Davis need to cut Broner out of his life or he's going to start losing to mediocre fighters, let along the best.

He needs to learn to make weight I was hoping Gamboa could deck him t bring him down a peg or two. A loss would actually do him the world of good or destroy him completely like Hamed

How many of those opponents actually got a fair crack of the whip & had a chance of ever winning?? Mayweather had the chance to prove himself against Pac man but theres no way Pac EVER had a chance of winning that fight. He was beaten before he ever got in the ring

Did you gents ever stop to think that Gambora knocked out the same Rocky Martinez in two rounds that it took Loma five rounds to get rid of and he was only one fight removed from his fight with Loma.

This is why it's so refreshing to see fighters like BJS. BJS is literally the exact opposite of Tank. He has a bad night? Owns up to it and says he should have done better. He will admit when he thinks another fighter will beat him instead of saying he'll out guys several divisions above him. I don't understand why people think they'll be liked when they act delusional.

One fight and 3 years out of the ring. Nice try though.
