no. Way too easy to hit and he liked to trade after getting hit. Wrong guy to try that with. Quarry would do very well to make it out of the 4th round. And he'd be losing those early rounds big as well. Don't ever forget there is a DKP ref in the fight. So we can see another Carl Williams result easily===Quarry goes down or he gets busted up and it gets waved off early. The guy not getting things waved off early is in the other corner.
I can't see Quarry getting past the fifth in all honesty. Jerry maybe to brave for his own sake even, find s himself taking punches from all angles.
Survive? What does Tyson do when in the 1st rd his punches not only dont levelvJerry but Jerry punches back hard and goes to tys body? Holyfield 1 all over again but because of the body battering , sooner. Quarry RSF 9. DONT EVER SEND A BOY TO DO A MANS JOB YOU SLOBBERING HORNED OUT TYSON NUTHUGGERS.
Your post starts off in a very sensible manner. I agree completely. But, just give the BS about the Don King ref a rest. It shows a blatant bias that erodes credibility. No ref could save Quarry from the inevitable stoppage in this one.
Tyson would win. Quarry may have some moments in short spurts. Mike would end it around the 5th or 6th. Too explosive.
Quarry isnt facing a big 2 dimensional slugger who he can slip in and out of and counter like he did to foster, Lyle, shavers, etc. Ironically tyson's short height and reach would mean this inevitably becomes a brutal phone booth bout and worsens quarry's chances. Combine Frazier vs quarry with tyson vs mathis+Tyson vs holyfield and you'll have a short and entertaining close quarters slug fest. Tyson is confused at first in round 1 finding himself lacking room to bob and weave and set up his bombs. He also discovers just how painful body shots are. He ends the round cracking quarry with a glancing hook. Round 2 Tyson is adjusting to the inside fight and they exchange while leaning on each other. Quarry doubles up on his hook and throws combinations like a hail storm. Tyson is simply biding his time and halfway through the round, dips and lands a powerful right hook, then a right upper. Quarry goes down and pushes tbe ref away, bravely but foolishly exchanging with Tyson. Crowd goes crazy as they pound away on each other. Tyson gets impatient and throws a sloppy right cross but is countered by quarry's own right. Round 3 and quarry uses some lateral movement, finally using his jab and looking to land a big one. However, Tyson's superb head movement makes this difficult. Both guys are a bit nervous and are mostly feinting. Tyson dips left and right and throws his own jab, pressuring quarry to the ropes. As Tyson presses forward with the beginning of a mean hook, he is caught by a powerful uppercut from quarry. Tyson takes it well, blinks, and blood trickles from his lips. Quarry attempts to capitalize with crazy flurries to the body and head. Tyson tightens up his peak a boo defense and rolls with the punches. He then goes low and fakes a right hook to the body, then suddenly shifts left and throws a left hook downstairs then upstairs. Quarry is rocked bad by the hook to the head and he has blood oozing from the temple and down his cheek--some of it getting in his eye. Tyson is weaving and pressuring a retreating quarry who rubs his temple, then bangs his fists. They exchange, and Tyson's power is just too much for the smaller but brave fighter. After 6 or 7 unanswered punches, the ref waves it off, holding quarry up who shakes his head frustrated but then bumps fists with Tyson knowing there wasnt much else he could do.
